Eligibility Criteria

Sheet Metal Worker	Pass in SSLC and ITI - NTC in the trade of Sheet Metal Worker.	Minimum of three years post qualification experience/training in fabrication (cutting, fit up, welding).
Welder	Pass in SSLC and ITI - NTC in the trade of Welder/Welder (Gas & Electric).	Minimum of three years post qualification experience/training in the relevant trade.
Outfit Assistants
Fitter	Pass in SSLC and ITI - NTC in the trade of Fitter.	Minimum of three years post qualification experience/training in the relevant trade.
Electrician	Pass in SSLC and ITI - NTC in the trade of Electrician.	Minimum of three years post qualification experience/training in the relevant trade.
Mechanic Diesel	Pass in SSLC and ITI - NTC in the trade of Mechanic Diesel.	Minimum of three years post qualification experience/training in the relevant trade.
Mechanic Motor Vehicle	Pass in SSLC and ITI - NTC in the trade of Mechanic Motor Vehicle.	Minimum of three years post qualification experience/training in the relevant trade.
Electronic Mechanic	Pass in SSLC and ITI - NTC in the trade of Electronic Mechanic.	Minimum of three years post qualification experience/training in the relevant trade.
Painter	Pass in SSLC and ITI - NTC in the trade of Painter.	Minimum of three years post qualification experience/training in the relevant trade.

Age Limit

The upper age limit for all posts shall not exceed 45 years as on 07 February 2026. Applicants should be born on or after 08 February 1981.

Age Relaxation

• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
• SC/ST: 5 years
• Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) & Ex-servicemen: Relaxable up to a maximum age of 50 years as per Government of India guidelines.

Remuneration

• The consolidated pay for candidates meeting the minimum experience requirement (3 years) is ₹ 23,300/- per month.
• Compensation for extra hours of work up to ₹ 5,830/- per month.
• Higher pay may be offered for candidates with experience over and above the minimum requirement in CSL or other similar shipyards.

Period of Contract & Place of Posting

• The contract tenure is for a maximum period of five years, subject to project requirements and performance.
• Posting can be at CSL or any other CSL units/project sites in India or abroad.

Application Fee

• For General/OBC candidates: ₹ 300/- (Non-refundable, plus bank charges).
• For SC/ST/PwBD candidates: No application fee.
• Payment must be made online between 21 January 2026 and 07 February 2026.

Method of Selection

• The selection process will be through a Practical Test (100 Marks).
• Candidates will be shortlisted for the Practical Test based on their online applications.
• Minimum Pass Marks for Practical Test:
  • Unreserved & EWS: 50%
  • OBC: 45% (for reserved vacancies)
  • SC/ST: 40% (for reserved vacancies)
  • PwBD: 40%

2. The application consists of two phases: One-time Registration and submission of the application against the specific post.
3. The online application portal will be functional from 21 January 2026 to 07 February 2026.
4. Candidates must upload all required certificates (age, qualification, experience, caste, etc.) and a recent photograph.
5. After submission, retain a printout of the online application for future reference. Do not send any physical documents to CSL.
