Instructions for Candidates

  1. E-call Letters: SMS/E-mail alerts will be sent to registered mobile/email IDs for downloading e-call letters from the official website of RRB, Guwahati.

  2. Online Uploads: Candidates must upload their signature, latest photograph, and identification marks on the portal https://oirms-ir.gov.in/rrbdv/. The portal will be active until the date of DV. Detailed instructions are in the DV e-call letter.

  3. Documents Required: Bring all original documents along with two sets of self-attested photocopies (A4 size) as detailed in the CEN and e-call letter. This includes, but is not limited to:

    • Matriculation/High School certificate (for DOB and qualification).
    • 10+2/Inter/Higher Secondary/PUC/Equivalent Certificate (if applicable).
    • University degree or equivalent.
    • Other certificates/diplomas as per CEN 02/2024.
    • Educational Qualification Certificates (Provisional or Regular) with issue dates. If issued after the online application closing date, submit consolidated mark sheets or individual mark sheets with result declaration dates. A certificate from the institution/university/board is required if dates are unavailable.
    • SC/ST/OBC-NCL (not older than one year from DV date)/Non-creamy layer/EWS/EBC income certificates in prescribed formats (Annexure-I, II, IIA, III, IIIA of CEN 02/2024).
    • Original Discharge Certificate, Ex-Servicemen book, Identity card (for Ex-Servicemen).
    • Self-Declaration for Ex-Servicemen with civil employment (Annexure-VI of CEN 02/2024), acknowledged copy of Declaration, NOC, and probable discharge date.
    • Medical Certificate for Persons with Disabilities (PwBD) in prescribed formats (Annexures V(A), V(B), V(C) of CEN 02/2024).
    • NOC with Date of Appointment from current employer (for Serving Employees).
    • Minority Community Declaration (Non-Judicial Stamp paper, Annexure - IV of CEN 02/2024).
    • Gazette Notification/legal document for formal name change (as per para 1.8 of General Instructions of CEN 02/2024).
    • J&K Domicile Certificate.
    • Certificate of eligibility from Government of India (as per para 4.0 (b) of CEN 02/2024 on Nationality).
    • Decree of Divorce/Judicial separation and affidavit of non-remarriage (for divorcee/judicially separated women).
    • Death certificate of spouse and affidavit of non-remarriage (for widow candidates).
    • Any other relevant certificate/testimonials.
  4. Additional Documents to Bring: Besides the above, also bring:

    • Three passport-sized photographs (not older than three months).
    • Upper portion of the e-call letters of 1st Stage CBT, 2nd Stage CBT, and CBAT (wherever applicable).
    • Photocopy of both sides of the Aadhaar card.
    • Receipt of payment if made through challan at SBI branch or post office.
  5. Medical Examination: After DV, candidates will be sent for medical examination at a nominated Railway Hospital under Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) jurisdiction on the next day. Candidates should be prepared to stay for three to four days. A prescribed medical fee of Rs 24/- is applicable. Additional costs for special investigations (e.g., CT Scan, Ultra Sound, eye surgery tests) not available at the Railway Hospital must be borne by the candidate.

  6. Provisional Candidature: Candidature is purely provisional and may be cancelled at any stage due to inconsistency, deficiency, discrepancy, or malpractice.

  7. No Guarantee of Appointment: Mere shortlisting or calling for DV/Medical examination does not guarantee appointment in the Railways. Empanelment depends on the correctness of submitted information and verification of documents.

  8. Free Travel Authority: SC/ST candidates will be provided free travel authority for attending DV and Medical Examination upon producing their original caste certificate.

  9. Absence from DV: Failure to report for Document Verification on the scheduled date will lead to rejection of candidature, unless supported by documentary evidence (e.g., University/Government examination or sickness). No fresh e-call letter will be issued.
