General Instructions for Candidates

  1. Particulars to Note: Carefully note your Roll Number, Date of Exam, Reporting Time, and Venue from the call letter.
  2. Punctuality: Adhere to the reporting time. Latecomers will not be permitted, and candidates cannot leave until the test is over.
  3. Call Letter: Affix a recent passport-size photograph on the call letter and bring it to the venue along with a currently valid photo identity proof (in original and a photocopy). The call letter and photocopy of the ID proof must be surrendered.
  4. Compliance: Strictly follow all instructions from test administrators and invigilators.
  5. Prohibited Items: Books, notes, calculators, cell phones, smart watches, and any other electronic devices are not allowed inside the examination hall.
  6. Stationery: Candidates must bring their own pencils, ballpoint pen, eraser, and a blue ink stamp pad.
  7. Rough Work: All rough work must be done on the sheets provided and these sheets must be returned to the invigilator after the exam.
  8. Signature: The signature on the attendance sheet must match the one uploaded during application. Signatures in capital letters will not be accepted.
  9. Biometric & IRIS Scan: Candidate registration will be done via photo and IRIS capture at the venue. The 'LEFT EYE (IRIS)' will be captured. Candidates must remove spectacles and contact lenses during the IRIS scan.

Online Examination Structure

The examination will consist of an Objective Test and a Descriptive Test.

(i) Objective Test

  • Duration: 2 hours

  • Structure: The test has 4 sections with separate timings for each.

(ii) Descriptive Test

  • Duration: 30 minutes
  • Total Marks: 50
  • Content: A test of English Language (Letter Writing & Essay) with two questions.
  • Mode: The test will be administered online immediately after the Objective Test. Candidates will have to type their answers on the computer.

Details of the Online Test Pattern

  • Candidates will log in using the User ID and Password provided on the call letter.
  • Instructions will be displayed on the screen before the test begins.
  • Questions (except English Language) will be available in both Hindi and English.
  • To answer a question, click on the desired option and then click 'SAVE & NEXT'.
  • A question palette on the right side of the screen will show the status of each question (answered, not answered, marked for review, etc.).
  • Each section has a separate timer. Candidates can only navigate between questions within a section during the time allotted for that section.
  • Candidates are not permitted to submit their test before the full duration of the exam is over.
