Nature of Post

  • Non-gazetted / Contributory Pension Scheme.

Pay Scale

  • Pay Band-1, ₹5200-20200, Grade Pay-2000 (Revised Level-3, Pay Matrix ₹21700-69100 as per 7th Pay Commission).

Educational Qualifications (Mandatory)

  1. Candidate must have successfully completed a Basic Health Worker (Female) Training Course (including 6 months of delivery training) recognized by the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi.
  2. Candidate must be duly registered with the Uttarakhand Nurses and Midwives Council.

Preferential Qualifications

  • Other things being equal, preference will be given to candidates who have:
    • Served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, or
    • Obtained a 'B' Certificate of the National Cadet Corps.

Registration Certificate

  • A permanent/renewed registration certificate from the Uttarakhand Nurses and Midwives Council, Dehradun, is mandatory by the last date of online application. Certificates issued after the last date will not be valid.

Age Limit

  • Crucial Date for Age Calculation: 2025-07-01
  • Minimum Age: 18 years as on 2025-07-01
  • Maximum Age: 42 years as on 2025-07-01
  • Age relaxation for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and other categories of Uttarakhand as notified by the State Government from time to time.

Age Relaxation Details

  • Uttarakhand SC/ST/OBC: 5 years relaxation as per G.O. No. 1399/XXX(2)/2005, dated May 21, 2005.
  • Dependents of Uttarakhand Freedom Fighters: 5 years relaxation as per G.O. No. 1244/XXX(2)/2005, dated May 21, 2005.
  • Ex-servicemen: Actual age reduced by the period of service in the armed forces. If the resulting age is within 3 years of the maximum age limit for the post, they are eligible.
  • Orphan Children: Age relaxation as per G.O. No. 11/XXXI(2)/2022-30(2)2019, dated February 16, 2022.

Mandatory/Desired Eligibility for Group 'C' Posts (Outside UKPSC purview)

  1. Candidate must possess a Domicile/Permanent Residence Certificate of Uttarakhand State by the last date of filling the online application form.
  2. Candidate must have passed High School and Intermediate or equivalent level education from recognized institutions located in Uttarakhand State.
  3. Personnel working in military/paramilitary forces or on regular posts in government/autonomous bodies established under the State Government, or Central Government/Public Sector Undertakings in Uttarakhand, whose services cannot be transferred outside Uttarakhand, or their spouses/children, are eligible.
  4. Permanent residents of the state who are residing outside Uttarakhand for livelihood/study, or their spouses/children, are also eligible.

No Objection Certificate

  • Candidates working in government service must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their department at the time of application.

Reservation

  • Reservation benefits are applicable only to permanent residents of Uttarakhand.
  • Reservation for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, ex-servicemen, dependents of freedom fighters, orphan children, Uttarakhand movement activists, and skilled players will be provided as per prevailing government orders.
  • Claims for vertical/horizontal reservation categories/sub-categories must be made in the relevant column of the online application form.
  • Candidates who are not residents/domiciles of Uttarakhand State are not eligible for reservation benefits.
  • EWS reservation is applicable only to permanent residents of Uttarakhand. No age relaxation is provided for EWS candidates. EWS certificates for the financial year 2025-26 (based on income of 2024-25) will be valid.
  • 5% horizontal reservation for orphan children residing in voluntary/government homes in Uttarakhand. The certificate issued by the District Magistrate/Sub-Divisional Magistrate is required.
  • Ex-servicemen reservation benefits are for retired/discharged military personnel only; dependents are not eligible.
  • SC/ST/OBC certificates must be issued by a competent authority in Uttarakhand. OBC certificates must not be older than three years from the last date of application and must be issued after 2016-02-26 and before 2025-12-10.
  • 10% horizontal reservation for identified Uttarakhand movement activists as per G.O. No. 244/XXXVI(3)/2024/48(1)/2023, dated August 18, 2024.
  • 4% horizontal reservation for skilled players at international/national level as per G.O. No. 117/XXXVI(3)/2024/09(1)/2024, dated March 16, 2024. Details of levels are:
    • Olympic Games: Medal Winner/Participant - Level-10 and above posts
    • World Cup/World Championship/Asian Games: Medal Winner/Participant - Level-9 and above posts
    • Commonwealth Games/Asian Championship: Medal Winner/Participant - Level-7 and above posts
    • Commonwealth Championship/International University Games: Medal Winner/Participant - Level-6 and above posts
    • National Games/National Championship organized by recognized federations/All India University Games/Khelo India Youth Games: Medal Winner - Level-5 and above posts
  • Health Worker (Female) posts are 100% reserved for female candidates; hence, no separate Uttarakhand women's reservation is calculated.
  • No reservation for Divyangjan (Persons with Disabilities) for Health Worker (Female) posts, as per government orders.

Nationality

  • A candidate must be:
    • A Citizen of India, or
    • A Tibetan refugee who came to India before January 01, 1962, with the intention of permanent settlement, or
    • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, and the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar)) with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Character

  • Candidate's character must be suitable for government service. Individuals dismissed from government service or convicted of moral turpitude are not eligible.

Marital Status

  • A male candidate with more than one living wife or a female candidate married to a person who already has a living wife is not eligible, unless exempted by the government for special reasons.

Physical Fitness

  1. Candidate must be mentally and physically sound and free from any defect that might interfere with efficient performance of duties.
  2. Candidate must pass a medical examination before final approval for appointment.

Selection Process

  • Selection will be based on the marks obtained in the Basic Health Worker (Female) training course, in order of merit by batch.
  • In case of a tie in marks, the older candidate will be preferred. If still a tie, the candidate with preferential qualifications will be preferred. If still a tie, the older candidate will be preferred. If still a tie, the candidate whose name appears first alphabetically will be preferred.
  • Document verification is tentatively scheduled for February-March 2026.

Important Instructions (General)

  • Claims for reservation must be clearly indicated in the online application. Failure to do so will result in loss of benefits.
  • All educational and category certificates must be valid as of the last date of online application. The mark sheet issue date will be considered for educational qualifications.
  • Admit card issuance does not guarantee final selection.
  • No changes will be allowed in the online application details after submission.
  • Signatures across all documents and communications should be uniform.
  • Applications based on false information will be rejected, and candidates may be debarred.
  • The date of birth recorded on the High School certificate will be considered final.

Thumb Impression

  • Female candidates must affix their right thumb impression on the attendance sheet and other relevant documents.

Travel Concession

  • As per G.O. No. 249/2023/E-53459/22/IX-2/2023, dated September 04, 2023, candidates are allowed a 50% fare concession on Uttarakhand Transport Corporation buses for travel to and from the examination center (two days before and two days after the exam). An admit card and Uttarakhand permanent residence certificate are required for this.

Misleading Information

  • Action will be taken against candidates spreading misleading information regarding the examination as per the Uttarakhand Competitive Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means in Recruitment) Act-2023.
