This document provides answers to frequently asked questions regarding the recruitment for Various Posts of Level-1 of 7th CPC Matrix under CEN.No.09/2025.

Important Dates

  • Opening Date of Application: 31.01.2026
  • Closing Date for Online Submission of Application: 02.03.2026 (23:59 hrs)
  • Closing Date for Payment of Online Fees: 04.03.2026 (23:59 hrs)
  • Application Modification Window: 05.03.2026 to 14.03.2026
  • Crucial Date for Reckoning Age: 01.01.2026
  • Crucial Date to Claim SC/ST/OBC/EWS Status: 02.03.2026

Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualifications: Candidates must possess the prescribed educational/technical/professional qualifications on or before the closing date of application (02.03.2026). Candidates with results expected after this date are not eligible.
  • Ex-Servicemen: Serving Armed Forces personnel can apply if they will be released within one year from the closing date (i.e., on or before 02.03.2027).
  • LASIK Surgery: Candidates who have undergone LASIK surgery are conditionally eligible for posts requiring Medical Standards A2 and A3. Refer to Para 3.0 of the detailed notification.

Application Process

  1. Create an Account: Use the 'Apply Button' and select 'Create an Account'. Provide your mobile number and email ID. OTP verification is required. Candidates who have created an account for any RRB notification in 2024 or 2025 do not need to create a new one.
  2. Filling the Application: After creating an account, log in and fill the application form which has five sections: Personal Details, Other Details, Educational Qualification, Upload Profile Documents, and Preference and Preview & Submit.
  3. Application Modification: A modification window will be active from 05.03.2026 to 14.03.2026. A non-refundable fee of Rs. 250/- is applicable for each modification. Details filled in the 'Create an Account' form and the 'Chosen RRB' cannot be modified.

Application Guidelines

  • One RRB Only: Candidates are allowed to apply for only one RRB. Applying to more than one RRB will lead to rejection and debarment.
  • Single Application per RRB: Multiple applications to the same RRB will also result in rejection and debarment.
  • Platform: It is advised to use a Desktop/Laptop for filling the application as some features may not work on mobile platforms.
  • Aadhaar Verification: Aadhaar validation is required to ensure the genuineness of the candidature. If a candidate does not have Aadhaar, they can provide details of other documents like a Driving License, Passport, PAN, Voter ID, Employee ID (Govt.), or School/College ID.

Fees and Refunds

  • Payment Method: Fees can be paid online via Net banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, or UPI services.
  • Fee Refund: The refundable portion of the examination fee will be refunded only to candidates who attend the Computer Based Test (CBT), after deducting bank charges. The modification fee is non-refundable.

Reservations and Concessions

  • EBC (Economically Backward Class): EBC candidates are eligible for fee concession only; there is no reservation of posts. They must possess a valid Income Certificate, BPL card, or IZZAT MST issued by Railways.
  • Fee Concession: Eligible for SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, Female, Transgender, Minorities, and EBC candidates.
  • Free Travel Authority (Railway Pass): This facility is available only to SC/ST candidates. They must choose 'Yes' while filling the application and upload their Caste Certificate.

Recruitment Stages

  1. Single Stage Computer Based Test (CBT)
  2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
  3. Document Verification (DV)
  4. Medical Examination (ME)

Examination Details

  • Negative Marking: There will be a negative marking of 1/3rd mark for every wrong answer in the CBT.
  • Language Choice: Candidates can choose their examination language from a list of 15 languages available in the 'Personal Details' section.

Document Upload Specifications

  • Caste Certificate (for SC/ST): PDF format, less than 500KB.
  • Photograph: JPEG format, between 40 KB to 70 KB (minimum 100 DPI).
  • Signature: JPEG format, between 30 KB to 70 KB (minimum 100 DPI).
