Self-Slot Selection for Tier 1 CHSLE 2025 by the candidates – reg.

This notice from the Staff Selection Commission (IT Section) provides important information regarding the self-slot selection facility for the Tier 1 Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination (CHSLE) 2025.

Key Dates for CHSLE 2025 Slot Selection

  • Slot Selection Facility Live From: 22nd October 2025
  • Slot Selection Facility Live Until: 28th October 2025, 11:00 PM
  • "City - Live" for Admit Card Details: Monday, 3rd November 2025
  • Admit Card Download: Candidates will be able to download their admit card 3-4 days prior to their allotted exam date.

Application Related Dates (from previous notice HQ-IT014/5/2025-IT dated 17.10.2025)

  • Application Start Date: 23/06/2025
  • Application End Date: 18/07/2025 (up to 11:00 PM)
  • Last Date for Online Fee Payment: 19/07/2025 (up to 11:00 PM)
  • Window for Application Form Correction and Online Payment of Correction Changes: 25/07/2025 - 26/07/2025 (up to 11:00 PM)

Slot Selection Process

Candidates who have already submitted their application and opted for examination cities must follow these steps to select their exam city, date, and shift:

  1. Log in to the candidate portal.
  2. Navigate to 'My Application'.
  3. A section including candidate application status will appear. Click on the 'Select City, Exam Date, Shift' button.
  4. Candidates will see their 03 chosen cities and the availability of slots across various shifts for those cities.

General Instructions for Slot Selection

  • Candidates are provided an opportunity to select their preferred date and shift from available slots on the official SSC website (https://ssc.gov.in) for a limited period. It is advised to complete the selection well before the closing date.
  • Slot availability depends on city-wise and centre-wise capacities and the candidate's category. Slots are displayed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Once a slot reaches full capacity, it will no longer be available. Candidates must select their slot carefully, considering travel convenience and examination readiness.
  • Automatic Allocation: As a one-time measure for CHSLE 2025, if a candidate fails to exercise the slot selection option within the prescribed time limit, the system will automatically allocate an available slot in any of the cities opted during the application window or as per availability. The Commission's decision regarding slot allocation shall be final and binding.
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) will be allotted slots as per the dedicated PH capacity at the selected city or centre.
  • Once a slot (date and shift) has been confirmed and allotted, no requests for change of slot, city, or shift will be entertained. Verify all details carefully before final submission.
  • Admit Cards indicating the exam date, shift, and centre will be made available after finalization of slot allocation. Candidates must download their Admit Cards from the official SSC website.
  • In case of slow response or server unavailability during the slot selection period, candidates are advised to wait and try again after some time.
  • Candidates should use an updated web browser (such as Chrome, Edge, or Firefox) and a stable internet connection for best performance. Accessing the slot selection link from public or shared computers or through mobile browsers is discouraged for security reasons.
  • The slot allotted by the system shall be treated as final for examination scheduling. The Commission reserves the right to modify or re-allot slots under exceptional circumstances due to administrative, technical, or operational reasons.

Slot Availability and Selection

  • If slots are available on a chosen date, the 'Select' symbol against each shift will appear in Green colour.
  • If a slot is 'Not Available' on a particular date, candidates can either opt for a different date of examination where slots are available or choose an alternate city from the options provided.
  • Once a candidate opts for a particular shift, it will be highlighted in Green. Candidates must ensure to 'Validate & Submit' their choice of slot by submitting the OTP sent to their registered mobile number or email ID.

Conclusion

The slot allocation, whether chosen by the candidate or automatically allocated by the system, shall be final and binding. "City - Live" details will be activated on Monday, 3rd November 2025, allowing candidates to view their allotted city/date and slot. Admit cards will be available for download 3-4 days prior to the allotted exam date.
