Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) had advertised 363 posts of Principal in the Education Department, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, under Advertisement No. 07/2021, Item No. 1, Vacancy No. 21040701324, published on 24.04.2021. The recruitment test was conducted on 17.07.2022, and interviews were held from 30.01.2023 to 02.03.2023.

Result Summary

Initially, the Commission recommended 334 candidates for appointment. Subsequently, in compliance with judgments from the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India and the Hon'ble High Court of Delhi, a revised notice of result was issued, recommending two additional candidates for appointment.

The notices include lists detailing the results of male and female candidates, indicating whether they qualified or did not qualify, along with lists of finally recommended candidates.

Important Notes

For Male Candidates:

  • Vacancies: 01 UR post is vacant as no PH-MI candidate was available. Another 01 UR post is vacant due to a pending case for a PH-MD candidate in the Hon'ble High Court, Delhi (WP No. 2113/2023).
  • Withheld Results: The results of 10 male candidates are withheld due to pending cases in the Hon'ble High Court/ Central Administrative Tribunal.
  • Training Requirement: Two candidates in the annexed list must undergo 06 months of training, and two other candidates must undergo 01 year of training.

For Female Candidates:

  • Vacancies: 03 UR posts (02 PH-HI and 01 PH-MD) and 11 EWS posts are kept vacant as suitable candidates were not available.
  • Withheld Results: The results of 03 female candidates are withheld due to pending court cases.
  • Training Requirement: One candidate is required to undergo 03 months of training, and two other candidates must undergo 01 year of training.

General Information

  • Recommendation letters for the finally qualified candidates will be sent to the Government of NCT of Delhi (GNCTD) separately.
  • The marks information and cut-off marks for all candidates will be uploaded on the Commission's website within thirty days after the completion of the recruitment process.
