This notice is to inform the general public that, in accordance with the permission granted by the District Magistrate, Bahraich on 2025-11-12, and as per Government Order No. 1/1092245/2025/3313/58-1-2025 (1917687) dated 2025-09-17, online applications are invited for the honorarium-based vacant posts of Anganwadi Workers and Assistants in the Child Development Projects operating in urban and rural areas of Bahraich district. The reservation details, including Gram Sabha/Ward-wise reservation and eligibility criteria, have been affixed on the notice boards of the Collectorate, Vikas Bhawan, Tehsil and Block, and Child Development Project Offices of the district, and also uploaded on the Vacancy Management Portal https://upanganwadibharti. The rules and conditions for eligibility and filling the application form for the advertised posts are as follows:

Rules and Conditions

  1. Only female candidates are eligible for the advertised posts.
  2. All selection processes will be conducted under the procedure described in Government Order No. 1/1092245/2025/3313/58-1-2025(1917687) dated 2025-09-17.
  3. The minimum educational qualification for Anganwadi Worker is Intermediate (12th grade) or equivalent.
  4. The applicant must be a permanent resident of the ward (in urban areas) / Gram Panchayat (in rural areas) of the vacant post.
  5. The age of the applicant as on the cut-off date (2025-07-01) should be a minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 35 years.
  6. For age verification, the date of birth recorded in the High School mark sheet and certificate will be considered valid for Anganwadi Assistants.

Selection Preference (as per Government Order Point 03 - Sub-section (G))

  • (I) Priority will be given to widowed women from Below Poverty Line (BPL) families residing in the same Gram Sabha/Ward (urban area).
  • (II) Priority will be given to legally divorced/abandoned women from BPL families residing in the same Gram Sabha/Ward (urban area).
  • (III) If no suitable widowed/divorced/abandoned BPL female candidate is found, then other BPL women residing in the same Gram Sabha/Ward (urban area) will be considered.

Selection Preference (as per Government Order Point 03 - Sub-section (D))

If no candidate is found as per the above preferences, then the selection preference will be as follows:

  • (I) Priority will be given to widowed women from Above Poverty Line (APL) families residing in the same Gram Sabha/Ward (urban area).
  • (II) Priority will be given to legally divorced/abandoned women from APL families residing in the same Gram Sabha/Ward (urban area).
  • (III) If no suitable widowed/divorced/abandoned APL female candidate is found, then other APL women residing in the same Gram Sabha/Ward (urban area) will be considered.

Selection Preference (as per Government Order Point 03 - Sub-section (E))

If no eligible candidates are available in any of the above categories within the same Gram Sabha, selection will be made category-wise from the respective Nyay Panchayat.

Documents for Verification (as per Government Order Point 03 - Sub-section (F))

  • (I) For widows, a valid death certificate issued by the Gram Panchayat Officer/concerned Municipal Body and a certified copy of the family register will be accepted.

  • (II) For divorced/abandoned women, legal orders issued by the Hon'ble Court will be accepted.

  • (III) For income certificates, those issued by the competent authority as per Government Order No. 3959/1-9-11-Raj0-9 dated 2011-09-30 (as amended) of Revenue Section-9, Government of Uttar Pradesh, will be valid, provided they are verifiable online. If any separate government order is issued by the Revenue Department in the future, action will be taken according to the provisions of the new government order.

    • Poverty Line income limits for rural and urban areas will be as per Government Order No. 22/2015/2123/26-2-2015 dated 2015-09-14 (as amended) of Social Welfare Section-2, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
  • (IV) Residence and caste certificates issued with online digital signatures by the Tehsil will be valid, if verifiable online.

  • (V) The validity of the income certificate will be calculated from the date of publication of the advertisement.

Other Important Information

  1. The number of vacant posts may decrease or increase even after the publication of the advertisement.
  2. Applications for reserved posts will be accepted only from candidates belonging to that category. For unreserved posts, applications from any caste will be accepted.
  3. Applications for advertised posts will only be accepted online through the Vacancy Management Portal https://upanganwadibharti within the stipulated time. Offline application forms will not be accepted under any circumstances. All selection processes will be done through this portal. If required information is not filled by the candidates on the portal, no offline claim will be valid.
  4. The application form must be filled online carefully and correctly in the format available on the departmental website. Any errors or incorrect facts/data/educational records marks/total or forged information will lead to cancellation of candidature, for which the applicant will be responsible. It is mandatory to upload a self-attested, clear and legible copy of the documents mentioned in the online form.
  5. Detailed forms and information, including eligibility and application procedures for the advertised posts, are available on the departmental website https://upanganwadibharti. Further information can be obtained during office hours from the Tehsil Office / Block Development Office / Child Development Project Officer Office or the District Program Officer (Child Development) Office in Bahraich.
  6. In case of more than one eligible candidate in the same category, a merit list will be prepared for all candidates. For all posts of Anganwadi Worker, the merit will be prepared based on minimum educational qualification (Intermediate or equivalent) and maximum educational qualification (Post-graduation) as per the calculation mentioned in point-7, sub-section (II) of the Government Order.
  7. Important note: For Anganwadi Assistant recruitment, candidates must have passed Intermediate or equivalent. Merit will be prepared by adding marks from Intermediate, Graduation and Post-graduation through the departmental portal. Minimum educational qualification Intermediate means that candidates who have not passed Intermediate are not eligible to apply for Anganwadi Worker/Assistant posts. Thereafter, merit will be prepared based on Intermediate, Graduation and Post-graduation.
  8. After adding marks from all examinations, a merit list will be prepared. If more than one candidate secures equal marks, the candidate with higher age will be given preference. If marks and age are also equal for more than one candidate, the candidate with higher educational qualification will be given preference.
  9. The last date for online application for advertised posts is 2025-12-07 till 12:00 AM.
