1. Application Process

Applications will be accepted only through the Online Application Form via authorized E-Mitra kiosks/public service centers in the state. Candidates must thoroughly read the detailed advertisement before applying. The online application process is as follows:

  • Log in to the SSO Portal (http://sso.rajasthan.gov.in).
  • Select 'Recruitment Portal' under Citizen Apps (G2C).
  • Click on 'Apply Now'.
  • If the One Time Registration (OTR) fee has not been paid, candidates must first pay it by registering their category (Unreserved, EWS, OBC-NC, MBC-NC, SC, ST, SAH), disability status, and home state.
  • The OTR process must be filled carefully. Options for reservation categories, disability status, and home state will be available based on the OTR information.
  • Live photo capture and submission are mandatory. A visible body mark must be provided in the online application.
  • Information entered during OTR cannot be modified. Other information must be filled carefully. Any incorrect entries made by the E-Mitra operator will be considered the candidate's fault.
  • An online application number will be generated upon final submission. Candidates should print and keep a copy of this application. It is advised not to use any other portal or facility for paying the OTR fee.

Important Application Instructions

  1. Candidates must ensure OTR fee payment is completed before the last date to avoid any payment-related verification issues, for which the candidate will be solely responsible.
  2. Candidates must provide their own mobile number and email ID, and these should not be changed until the completion of the recruitment process. Important information will be sent to the registered mobile number and email ID. Candidates must ensure they fill their own SSO ID; applications submitted with another SSO ID will not be considered valid.
  3. Candidates must obtain an Application ID after applying online. If an Application ID is not generated, it means the application has not been accepted. A preview of the application does not constitute submission.

2. One Time Registration (OTR) Fee

As per circular dated 19.04.2023, candidates must pay the OTR fee online through Rajasthan's authorized E-Mitra kiosks or public service centers (C.S.C.):

  • (a) General Category and Creamy Layer OBC/MBC candidates: Rs. 600/-
  • (b) Non-Creamy Layer OBC/MBC, EWS, SC/ST candidates: Rs. 400/-
  • (c) All Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates: Rs. 400/-

Note:

  1. Candidates from other states/union territories are considered General category and must pay Rs. 600/-.
  2. Candidates who have already paid the OTR fee are not required to pay again.
  3. As per circular dated 09.05.2025, if a candidate is absent from two examinations conducted by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission, Rajasthan Staff Selection Board, Jaipur, or any other recruitment agency in a financial year (April 1 - March 31), their One Time Registration (OTR) facility will be blocked. A first-time blocked candidate can reactivate their OTR by paying a penalty of Rs. 750/-. If a candidate is absent from two more recruitment examinations in the same financial year, their OTR facility will be blocked again and can only be reactivated by paying double the penalty (Rs. 1500/-). The board will take further action as per these provisions.

3. Category-wise Reservation

Detailed category-wise reservation is provided for Contractual Ayush Officer (Ayurveda/Homeopathy/Unani) posts. This includes reservation for General, SC, ST, OBC, MBC, EWS, and Sahariya categories, with further breakdown for women, widows, divorced women, ex-servicemen, outstanding sportsmen, and PwD.

Note: Residents of non-scheduled areas can also apply for posts in scheduled areas.

Special Information Regarding Reservations

  1. Reservation benefits for SC, ST, OBC, MBC, and EWS candidates will be provided as per rules.
  2. As per notifications dated 17.01.2013 and 28.07.2023, if suitable candidates from SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS are not available in a particular year for direct recruitment, reserved vacancies will be carried forward for a maximum of three subsequent recruitment years.
  3. EWS reserved posts, if suitable candidates are unavailable, will be filled through the general procedure.
  4. Women's reservation is 30% horizontal (category-wise). If suitable women candidates are not available in a particular category, men from that category will fill the posts. Married women must submit non-creamy layer certificates based on their father's name and residence, not their husband's.
  5. As per circular dated 13.01.2016, within the 30% women's reservation, 8% is for widows and 2% for divorced women. If sufficient widows are not available, divorced women will fill those posts, and vice-versa. If neither is available in sufficient numbers, general women from that category will fill. If women from that category are still unavailable, men from that category will fill. These women's vacancies are not carried forward to subsequent years. Widows must submit their husband's death certificate, and divorced women must submit their court divorce decree by the last date of application.
  6. Women from other states who become residents of Rajasthan after marriage will be considered in the General category for public employment.
  7. Most Backward Classes (MBC) receive 5% reservation as per notification dated 13.02.2019.
  8. Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) receive 10% reservation as per notifications dated 19.02.2019 and 20.10.2019.
  9. Candidates from reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS) who do not avail any other relaxation (e.g., age or fee concession) will be eligible against unreserved posts.
  10. Candidates domiciled in other states are treated as General category applicants.
  11. Sahariya tribe candidates from Baran district will receive reservation benefits as per notification dated 16.01.2020 if clearly indicated in the application form; otherwise, they will be considered General.

12. Ex-Servicemen

  • (a) Dependents of ex-servicemen are not eligible for ex-servicemen reservation.
  • (b) Ex-servicemen must have a character certificate of "Good" or above at the time of discharge and must be eligible for subsequent employment.
  • 12.5% reservation for ex-servicemen as per Rajasthan Civil Service (Absorption of Ex-servicemen) Rules, 1988. As per circular dated December 2022, this is horizontal reservation. Unfilled ex-servicemen vacancies will be filled through general procedure and carried forward to the next recruitment year.
  • As per circular dated 01.08.2021, only ex-servicemen domiciled in Rajasthan are eligible for benefits.
  • Ex-servicemen who retired or are retiring within one year with an NOC from the competent authority are eligible. They must submit their retirement certificate before joining. The NOC allows for a two-month extension for joining.
  • A 5% relaxation in minimum qualifying marks may be granted to ex-servicemen if suitable candidates are unavailable.
  • Computer qualification is not mandatory at the time of application but is required before joining. A 3-month certificate from an Indian defense institution is also valid.
  • If ex-servicemen do not join, vacancies will be filled through the general procedure and carried forward.
  • Ex-servicemen lose their status if they join any state public service. However, if they apply for multiple posts before joining an initial state service post and provide an undertaking, they can still avail reservation for other posts. This does not apply to casual/contractual appointments.

13. Outstanding Sportsmen

  • 2% reservation as per circular dated 21.11.2019. This is horizontal (category-wise) reservation.
  • If suitable candidates are unavailable, vacancies will be filled through the general procedure and are not carried forward.
  • Only candidates meeting the eligibility criteria as per circular dated 21.11.2019 should apply. False claims will lead to action, and the sports certificate must be submitted by the last date.

Outstanding Sportsmen Eligibility: Rajasthan domiciled players who have represented India in international tournaments/championships or won medals in national games/championships as per a detailed list of sports and events (e.g., Olympics, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, World Cup at International level; School National Games, National Tournaments/Championships by NSF, All India Inter-University, National Championship/Para National Championship/National Games/Para Games by IOA/PCA at National level).

14. Persons with Disabilities (PwD)

  • 4% reservation is provided for PwD as per Rajasthan PwD Rights Rules, 2018, and decisions from meetings dated 29.04.2024 and 13.05.2024.
  • Functional Requirements: S (Sitting), ST (Standing), W (Walking), BN (Bending), MF (Manipulation with Fingers), RW (Reading & Writing), SE (Seeing), H (Hearing), C (Communication).
  • Suitable Benchmark Disabilities: OA (One Arm), OL (One Leg), BL (Both Leg), CP (Cerebral Palsy), LC (Leprosy Cured), Dw (Dwarfism), AAV (Acid Attack Victims), SLD (Specific Learning Disability), MD (Multiple Disabilities) involving (a) to (B) above.
  • (a) PwD reservation is horizontal and category-wise.
  • (b) Unfilled PwD vacancies are carried forward. If still unfilled, interchange between PwD categories. If still unfilled, other candidates can fill.
  • (c) PwD candidates must specify their category and disability in the online form. The PwD certificate must be submitted by the last date of application. Only information on the online form will be accepted. Incomplete or mismatched certificates will lead to disqualification.
  • (d) A permanent disability certificate (40% or more disability) is required. A UDID card is mandatory for PwD certificates as per guidelines dated 06.08.2025.
  • (e) A 5% relaxation in minimum qualifying marks is provided for PwD.

4. Special Instructions for Scheduled Area Candidates

  1. Only local residents of Rajasthan's scheduled areas can apply for scheduled area posts. A "local resident" is defined as someone born before 01.01.1970 or whose parents/ancestors resided in the scheduled area before 01.01.1970.
  2. SC/ST reservation for scheduled areas is calculated as per circular dated 04.07.2016.
  3. Recruitment for scheduled areas will be governed by the Rajasthan Scheduled Area Subordinate, Ministerial & Class-IV Service (Recruitment & Other Service Conditions) Rules, 2014. If no specific provision, the Rajasthan Contractual Hiring Rules, 2022 apply.
  4. Scheduled areas have been redefined by circular dated 01.06.2018. Candidates should refer to the latest notification for applicable scheduled areas.

Note: Pay, eligibility, educational qualification, nationality, age, marriage registration, exam fee, application process, amendments, disqualifications, certificate verification, unfair means, and syllabus for scheduled areas are the same as for non-scheduled areas.

5. Remuneration

  • Contractual Ayush Officer (Ayurveda/Homoeopathy/Unani): Rs. 28050/- per month.

6. Eligibility and Educational Qualification

  1. Contractual Ayush Officer (Ayurveda/Homoeopathy/Unani):
    • Degree of Bhishagacharya / Ayurvedacharya / Bachelor degree in Ayurveda (B.A.M.S) OR Bachelor degree in Homoeopathy (B.H.M.S) OR Bachelor degree in Unani (B.U.M.S.) from a University established by law in India or equivalent AND recognized under Rajasthan Homoeopathic Medicine Act, 1969 (Act 1 of 1970).
    • AND Registered in Board of Indian Medicine, Rajasthan OR Homeopathic Board, Rajasthan OR Board of Indian Medicine, Rajasthan (for Unani).

Note:

  1. Educational qualification must be acquired by the last date of application.
  2. Registration with the respective boards (Board of Indian Medicine, Rajasthan or Homeopathic Board, Rajasthan) is mandatory by the last date of application.
  3. Scanned copies of educational qualification documents must be uploaded. Unclear, distorted, watermarked, blank, or shrunk documents will not be accepted, leading to disqualification.

Other Qualifications

  1. Health: Candidates must be in good mental and physical health, free from any defects that might hinder the efficient performance of duties. Selected candidates must submit a medical fitness certificate from the Chief Medical and Health Officer or Medical Jurist of their district of residence.
  2. Character: Candidates must possess a good character suitable for government service. A character certificate from the last educational institution attended, and two character certificates from responsible individuals (not relatives) issued within 6 months of the application date, are required.

7. Nationality

Candidates must be:

  • (a) A citizen of India, OR
  • (b) A subject of Nepal, OR
  • (c) A subject of Bhutan, OR
  • (d) A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 01.01.1962 with the intention of permanent settlement, OR
  • (e) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia) with the intention of permanent settlement.

Note: Candidates under (b), (c), (d), (e) must submit an eligibility certificate issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.

8. Age Limit

As of 01.01.2026, candidates must be between 21 and 40 years old, as per the "Rajasthan Contractual Hiring to Civil Post Rules, 2022". Age will be calculated from 01.01.2026.

Age Relaxation:

  1. Relaxation in Upper Age Limit:
    • (a) General category female candidates: 5 years.
    • (b) SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS male candidates (Rajasthan domicile): 5 years.
    • (c) SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS female candidates (Rajasthan domicile): 10 years.
  2. Ex-servicemen: 10 years relaxation in the upper age limit. However, the maximum age limit will be 50 years, or 55 years if prior experience is required.
  3. Widows and Divorced Women: No age limit (up to retirement age).
  4. PwD: 5 years relaxation.

Note:

  • (a) For more details on age relaxation, refer to the "Rajasthan Contractual Hiring to Civil Post Rules, 2022" and relevant state government circulars.
  • (b) The age relaxations mentioned above (points 1-3) are non-cumulative; only the maximum single benefit will be applicable.

9. Marriage Registration

Marriage registration is mandatory for appointment in government service, as per circular dated 22.05.2006. The certificate will be required when requested.

10. Application Fee Submission and Online Application Period

  • (a) OTR Fee Submission (if not paid): From 2025-10-10 to 2025-11-08 (till 23:59) via E-Mitra kiosks, C.S.C., Net Banking, ATM-cum-Debit Card, and Credit Card.
  • (b) Online Application Period: From 2025-10-10 to 2025-11-08 (till 23:59). The link will be inactive after this. Candidates are advised to apply early.

11. Examination Schedule

  1. The recruitment examination (Offline/Online/CBT/OMR based) is proposed for 2025-12-26.
  2. If the examination is conducted in multiple shifts, normalization will be applied.

12. Admit Card

Admit cards will be issued online only via the board's website. No admit cards will be sent by post. Information regarding admit cards will be published in newspapers and on the website. Candidates will need their application number and SSO ID to download their admit card. Information may also be sent via email and WhatsApp.

13. Disqualifications for Appointment

  1. Male candidates with more than one living wife will be disqualified (unless a special exemption is granted by the government).
  2. Female candidates married to a man who has another living wife will be disqualified (unless a special exemption is granted by the government).
  3. Married candidates who accepted dowry at the time of their marriage will be disqualified.
  4. As per circular dated 16.03.2023, candidates with more than two children after 01.06.2002 will be disqualified (exceptions for multiple births from a single delivery, and children with disabilities).
  5. Candidates found guilty of impersonation, submitting fake documents, making false statements, concealing important information, or using unfair means in the examination will be debarred and face legal action.

14. How to Apply

Candidates must apply in the category for which they are eligible.

Note: OBC/MBC creamy layer candidates and candidates from other states are considered General category.

Please Note:

  1. Candidates are advised to read the detailed advertisement and application instructions carefully before filling out the online application.
  2. Candidates must ensure all information is correct and complete. Incorrect or incomplete information may lead to rejection or provisional admission to the examination, with the sole responsibility lying with the candidate.
  3. Category changes are not allowed after the application is submitted. Incorrect category entries will lead to cancellation of the application. Candidates must clearly specify their category; no changes will be allowed after the application submission deadline.
  4. Debarred candidates whose debarment period has not ended by the last date of application are not eligible to apply.
  5. Eligibility (age, qualification, category, etc.) will be checked based on the online application. Incorrect information will lead to rejection. No changes will be allowed after the amendment period.
  6. Candidates who submit complete online applications by the last date will be provisionally admitted. Issuance of an admit card does not confirm final selection. Eligibility will be checked separately. Selected candidates must submit a detailed application in two copies.

15. Application Correction Process

No offline requests for application correction will be accepted.

  • If corrections are needed in the candidate's name, father's name, date of birth, or gender (as per OTR), candidates must first correct this information in their Aadhaar/Jan Aadhaar, then use the "Fetch" button on the OTR screen. OTR-based fields (reservation category, disability, domicile) can be corrected. After submitting the application, these OTR-based fields cannot be changed.
  • Other information can be corrected as follows:
    • i. During the application period and for 3 days after the closing date, candidates can correct information in their online application by paying a fee of Rs. 300. OTR-based fields still cannot be changed. Other entries, including educational qualification (if updated, verification will occur).
    • ii. If not corrected during the first opportunity, another chance will be provided about 1 month before the examination, for 7 days. Changes for name, father's name, date of birth, gender, photo, signature, educational qualification (other than OTR-based) are allowed. A fee applies. No changes will be accepted after the examination.

16. Application Withdrawal Process

Candidates who do not meet the qualification criteria or do not wish to appear for the examination can withdraw their application about 1 month before the examination, for a period of 3 days. A notification will be published on the website. To withdraw, use the "Withdraw Button" on the SSO Portal > Recruitment Portal > My Recruitment Section. If an application is not withdrawn despite ineligibility, legal action may be taken.

17. Special Instructions for PwD Candidates regarding Scribe/Compensatory Time

  1. PwD candidates (40% or more disability, Cerebral Palsy category) may use a scribe. A scribe undertaking and PwD certificate are required. For other Section-2(r) PwD, a medical certificate from the CMHO/MS stating writing inability is needed for a scribe/compensatory time.
  2. PwD candidates (less than 40% disability) may use a scribe/compensatory time if a medical certificate from the CMHO/MS stating writing inability is provided.
  3. Specifying PwD category/scribe option in the online form does not automatically grant eligibility. Follow board instructions.
  4. If bringing an own scribe, the PwD certificate, candidate-scribe undertaking, scribe's photo ID, and educational qualification copy must be submitted to the Centre Superintendent at least 1 day before the examination.
  5. If requesting a scribe from the board, the PwD certificate and candidate undertaking must be submitted to the Centre Superintendent at least 2 days before the examination.
  6. Detailed instructions regarding scribes are available on the board's website and are considered part of this advertisement.

18. Provisions regarding Candidate Certificates

  1. Eligibility and document verification will be conducted by concerned departments as per circular dated 22.08.2024.
  2. Only educational/technical qualifications entered online will be considered valid. Other degrees/diplomas will not be accepted.
  3. Reserved category benefits will only be granted if original documents are verified and the candidate is found eligible.
  4. Domicile and caste certificates (Rajasthan) are mandatory for reserved posts.
  5. Caste certificates (SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS) must be issued by the competent authority by the last date of application or earlier, as per circular dated 20.01.2022.
  6. If a certificate is not submitted by the last date but is submitted later, the candidate must provide an affidavit stating their eligibility by the last date. False information will lead to cancellation.

Caste Certificate Validity (Social Justice and Empowerment Dept. guidelines 09.09.2015):

  • i. SC/ST caste certificates are valid for a lifetime. OBC certificates are issued once, but non-creamy layer status needs a 3-year affidavit.
  • ii. Non-creamy layer certificates are valid for one year. If the status remains unchanged in subsequent years, an affidavit can extend validity up to 3 years.
  • iii. MBC caste certificates are based on OBC certificates as per circular dated 21.06.2019.
  • vii. Latest OBC/MBC certificate based on the father's name, residence, and income is required. Certificates based on the husband's name are not valid.
  • viii. SC/ST/Sahariya certificates must be issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format. For married women, certificates based on their father's name/residence are valid.
  • ix. EWS Income & Asset Certificates are valid for one year. If the status remains unchanged, an affidavit can extend validity up to 3 years as per circular dated 06.05.2022.
  • x. Original documents for educational/professional qualification, age, marital status, divorced status, ex-servicemen status, outstanding sportsmen status, and PwD status are required for verification.
  • xi. Ex-servicemen reservation requires a retirement certificate/NOC from the competent authority by the last date of online application.
  • xii. Outstanding sportsmen reservation requires a sports certificate from the competent authority by the last date of online application.
  • xiii. Widows must provide their husband's death certificate and documents linking them to their husband (e.g., marriage certificate, Aadhaar, ration card, child's birth certificate, voter ID, domicile/caste certificate in husband's name).
  • xiv. Divorced women must provide a court decree for divorce by the last date of application.
  • xv. A marriage registration certificate is mandatory for appointment in government service, as per circular dated 22.05.2006.

Other Certification Requirements

  • xvi. Married women must provide a declaration of children. Divorced women must provide an affidavit of no remarriage or divorced status by the last date.
  • xvii. A character certificate from the last educational institution (stating "Good" or above character) and two character certificates from gazetted officers are required.
  • xviii. A police verification report is required after selection, indicating no criminal cases that would hinder government service. Rules for pending cases are as per circular dated 04.12.2019.
  • xix. A medical fitness certificate from the competent authority is required, certifying fitness for state service.
  • xx. An NOC from the current employer is required if already in government/PSU/other organizations. Obtain written permission to apply. Submit NOC or resignation letter.
  • xxi. All certificates must be issued by the last date of application; otherwise, reserved category benefits will not be applicable.
  • xxii. Eligibility, examination results, and document verification will be based on the online application. Candidates are responsible for any false information.

19. Prevention of Unfair Means

Candidates must fill accurate information and strictly follow exam center instructions. Disciplinary action will be taken for unfair means, including under the "Rajasthan Public Examinations (Measures for Prevention of Unfair Means in Recruitment) Act, 2022" and "The Rajasthan Subordinate and Ministerial Service Selection Board Prevention of Unfair means in Board Examinations Regulations, 2016". Penalties include imprisonment (up to 3 years for candidates, 5-10 years for conspiracy) and heavy fines (Rs. 1 lakh for candidates, Rs. 10 lakh to Rs. 1 crore for conspiracy). Debarment for 2 years is also applicable.

20. Scheme and Syllabus for Contractual Ayush Officer Posts

(i) Examination Scheme

  1. The question paper will consist of multiple-choice questions, with all questions carrying equal marks.
  2. The examination duration will be 2 hours and 30 minutes (150 minutes).
  3. There will be 150 questions in total.
  4. Each question will carry 3 marks.
  5. Negative marking: 1/3 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
  6. A minimum of 40% marks is required to qualify (5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates). Candidates scoring below this will be ineligible.

(ii) Examination Syllabus

PART-I: (Total Marks: 180)

  • A. General Knowledge & General Science and Current Affairs (45 Marks)

    1. History of India.
    2. Indian National Movement with important events in Rajasthan.
    3. Geography of India & Rajasthan.
    4. Economy India & Rajasthan.
    5. India & Rajasthan- State & Governance, Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj System.
    6. Biodiversity in environmental conditions, climate change.
    7. Main features of society of Rajasthan, social problem, culture of Rajasthan.
    8. Current Events- India, Rajasthan & World.
    9. General Science (10th standard).
  • B. General English & Hindi (45 Marks)

    • General English: Multiple choice questions covering interference analysis, interpretation, evaluation & vocabulary, grammatical items (tenses, narration, modals, articles, phrases, pronouns, synonyms, antonyms, idioms, prepositions, active/passive voice), and accurate use of spelling, punctuation, grammar.

OMR Sheet Instructions for Multiple Choice Questions

  1. Each question will have 5 options (A, B, C, D, E). Candidates must darken only one circle (bubble) with a blue ball pen to indicate the correct answer.
  2. It is mandatory to fill only one of the options for each question.
  3. If a candidate is not attempting a question, they must darken circle 'E'. If none of the five circles are darkened, 1/3 of the marks for that question will be deducted for up to 10% of the total questions.
  4. After solving the question paper, candidates must ensure they have darkened one circle for each question. An additional 10 minutes will be provided after the scheduled time for this.
  5. Candidates who have not darkened any of the five circles for more than 10% of the questions will be disqualified.
