I. Examination Centres (Para 10.2 & 10.3)

Candidates must select three examination centres in order of priority for the Computer Based Examination (CBE). No requests for changes to centres will be entertained later. The Commission reserves the right to add new centres, cancel existing ones, or divert candidates to other centres.

II. Scheme of Examination (Para 11.0 & 11.1)

The recruitment process will consist of the following stages:

  1. Computer Based Examination (CBE)
  2. Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE&MT) / Document Verification (DV)
  3. Trade Test
  4. Medical Examination of recommended candidates

III. Computer Based Examination (CBE)

A. Dates & Normalization (Para 11.2 & 11.3)

The dates for the CBE are tentative and will be communicated through the Commission's website. Marks scored in multiple shifts will be normalized using a formula published in the Commission's Notice dated 2025-06-02.

B. Examination Structure (Para 11.4)

  • Type: Objective type multiple choice paper
  • Total Questions: 100
  • Total Marks: 100
  • Duration: 90 minutes
  • Composition:
    • Part-A: General Awareness (20 Questions, 20 Marks)
    • Part-B: General Intelligence (20 Questions, 20 Marks)
    • Part-C: Numerical Ability (10 Questions, 10 Marks)
    • Part-D: Road Sense, Vehicle Maintenance, Traffic Rules/Signals, Vehicle & Environmental Pollution (50 Questions, 50 Marks)

C. Negative Marking & Language (Para 11.5 & 11.6)

  • Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer.
  • Language: The CBE will be conducted in English and Hindi only.

D. Answer Keys & Re-evaluation (Para 11.7, 11.8 & 11.9)

Tentative Answer Keys will be placed on the Commission's website. Candidates can submit representations with a non-refundable fee of ₹50/- per question. Final Answer Keys will be used for processing results. There will be no provision for re-evaluation or re-checking of scores.

E. Examination Integrity (Para 11.10)

The Commission will conduct comprehensive post-examination analysis, including log analysis, photo and biometric verification, and CCTV footage review. Malpractice will lead to strict action, including cancellation of candidature and debarment from future examinations.

F. Syllabus (Para 11.11)

  • Part A: General Awareness: Questions will test general awareness, current events, and knowledge of India and its neighbours (Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Indian Economy, General Polity, Indian Constitution, Scientific Research).
  • Part B: General Intelligence: Analytical aptitude and ability to observe patterns through nonverbal questions (analogies, similarities, differences, spatial visualization, visual memory, discrimination, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, figural classification, number series, coding/decoding).
  • Part C: Numerical Ability: Problems related to Number Systems, Whole Numbers, Decimals & Fractions, Arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio & Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit & Loss, Discount, Mensuration, Time & Distance, Ratio & Time, Time & Work.
  • Part D: Road Sense, Vehicle Maintenance, Traffic Rules/Signals/Signages: Questions on vehicle & environmental pollution (petrol, diesel, CNG vehicles) and noise pollution.

G. Question Paper Level (Para 11.12)

The question paper will be of Class 10th Level.

IV. Declaration of Result for PE&MT (Para 11.13)

  • Eligibility for PE&MT: Candidates within the merit range of 20 times the number of vacancies in each category based on CBE will be called for PE&MT. All candidates scoring the cutoff marks will be included.
  • Qualifying Marks:
    • General/EWS Category: 40% marks
    • SC/ST/OBC Category: 35% marks
    • Ex-servicemen Category: 30% marks The SSC may lower minimum marks if required number of candidates do not qualify.

V. Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PE&MT) (Para 11.14)

A. Physical Endurance Test (PET) (Para 11.15 & 11.16)

(For male candidates, including ex-servicemen and Departmental candidates)

  • Race (1600 Metres):

    • Upto 30 years: 07 minutes
    • Above 30 to 40 years: 08 minutes
    • Above 40 years: 09 minutes
  • Long Jump:

    • Upto 30 years: 12½ feet (12'6")
    • Above 30 to 40 years: 11½ feet (11'6")
    • Above 40 years: 10½ feet (10'6")
  • High Jump:

    • Upto 30 years: 3½ feet (3'6")
    • Above 30 to 40 years: 3¼ feet (3'3")
    • Above 40 years: 3 feet (3')

Candidates qualifying the Race will proceed to Long Jump, then High Jump. Three chances will be given for Long Jump and High Jump. No appeal against disqualification in Race, Long Jump, or High Jump will be entertained.

B. Physical Measurement Test (PMT) (Para 11.17)

PMT will be conducted only for candidates qualifying the PET.

  • Height: Minimum 170 cm.

    • Relaxation (5 cm): Applicable for residents of Hill areas (Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas, and candidates from Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Kashmir valley/region, Jammu and Ladakh), ST candidates, and sons of serving/retired/deceased Delhi Police personnel/Multi-Tasking Staff of Delhi Police. A certificate from competent authority is required for hill area residents (Annexure-XII).
  • Chest: 81 cm with a minimum 4 cm expansion (i.e., 81 - 85 cm).

    • Relaxation (5 cm): Applicable for residents of Hill areas (as listed above), ST candidates, and sons of serving/retired/deceased Delhi Police personnel/Multi-Tasking Staff of Delhi Police.

C. Relaxation & Appeal (Para 11.18 & 11.19)

Relaxation in height and chest will only be permissible upon production of the requisite certificate at the time of PE&MT. Candidates declared not qualified in Physical Standards (height and chest) may appeal on the same day to the Appellate Authority. The decision of the Appellate Authority will be final. No further appeal will be entertained for Race, Long Jump, or High Jump disqualifications.

D. Responsibility (Para 11.20)

The Delhi Police will be solely responsible for the conduct of PE&MT, Trade Test, and Medical Examination. The Commission will not entertain any representations, appeals, or RTI applications against their decisions. Any prior disqualification in a PE&MT event will be treated as final, and if a disqualified candidate reappears and qualifies, the original/previous result will prevail.
