Notice for Submission of Option-Cum-Preference for Combined Graduate Level Examination 2025

Introduction

This notice is in reference to the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGLE), 2025, originally published on 09.06.2025 with corrigenda on 26.06.2025 and 05.03.2026. The Tier-I examination was conducted in Computer Based Mode, with results declared on 18.12.2025. The Tier-II examination was held from 18.01.2026 to 20.01.2026.

Submission of Option-cum-Preference

Before the final result declaration, candidates who have appeared in the Tier-II examination are required to submit their Option-cum-Preference for posts/departments. This is a mandatory step for consideration in the final merit list.

Important Dates and Procedure

  • Submission Period: From 09.03.2026 (06:00 PM) to 12.03.2026 (06:00 PM).
  • How to Submit: Candidates must log in to their account on the official SSC website, https://ssc.gov.in, and use the facility available under the 'My Application Tab'.
  • Final Submission: After filling in preferences, candidates must click the "SUBMIT" button. The last submitted preference will be considered final. Preferences can be revised only within the specified period.

Important Instructions for All Candidates

  • Candidates who fail to exercise their Option-cum-Preference within the stipulated period will not be considered for the final merit list and will not be given another opportunity.
  • It is mandatory for all candidates who appeared in Tier-II to exercise this option to be considered for final selection.
  • Before exercising their preference, candidates must review the original Notice of Examination and its Corrigenda to ensure they meet the requisite Physical and Medical Standards for the posts.

Instructions for PwBD Candidates

  • PwBD candidates must ensure they submit preferences only for posts identified as suitable for their disabilities.
  • Allocation of posts will be based on 'merit-cum-preference'.
  • Candidature will be cancelled if a PwBD candidate is selected for a post not identified as suitable for their disability.
  • PwBD candidates should refer to the Corrigendum dated 05.03.2026 for details on benchmark disabilities allowed for different posts.

Any grievance regarding this matter submitted through Post, Fax, Email, or by hand will be summarily rejected.
