Introduction

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) announces the Common Recruitment Process for Regional Rural Banks (CRP RRBs XIV) for the recruitment of Group “A” Officers (Scale-I, II & III) and Group “B” Office Assistants (Multipurpose). Online examinations will be conducted by IBPS, and interviews for Group “A” Officers will be coordinated by Nodal Regional Rural Banks with the assistance of NABARD and IBPS.

Application Details

Applications are invited from eligible and interested candidates for Officer posts (Scale-I, II & III) and Office Assistants (Multipurpose). Candidates may apply for the Post of Office Assistants (Multipurpose) and only one post in the officer's cadre (Scale-I or Scale-II or Scale III). Separate applications and fees are required for each post.

Examination Structure

  • Officers Scale I and Office Assistants: Two-tier examination consisting of Preliminary and Main Examinations.
  • Officers Scale II (Generalist and Specialists) and Scale III: Single Online Examination followed by an interview.

Eligibility Criteria (as on 2025-09-01)

Nationality/Citizenship

A candidate must be:

  • A Citizen of India, or
  • A subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
  • A Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1962 with permanent settlement intention, or
  • A person of Indian origin migrated from specific countries (Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries, Vietnam) with permanent settlement intention, provided an eligibility certificate is issued by the Government of India.

Age Limits

  • For Office Assistants (Multipurpose): Between 18 and 28 years (born not earlier than 2025-09-02-1997 and not later than 2025-09-01-2007, both dates inclusive).
  • For Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager): Above 18 and below 30 years (born not earlier than 2025-09-02-1995 and not later than 2025-09-01-2007, both dates inclusive).
  • For Officer Scale-II (Manager): Above 21 and below 32 years (born not earlier than 2025-09-02-1993 and not later than 2025-09-01-2004, both dates inclusive).
  • For Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager): Above 21 and below 40 years (born not earlier than 2025-09-02-1985 and not later than 2025-09-01-2004, both dates inclusive).

Age Relaxation

  • Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST): 5 years
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC - Non-creamy layer): 3 years
  • Persons With Benchmark Disability (PwBD): 10 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: Actual period of service + 3 years (8 years for Disabled Ex-Servicemen belonging to SC/ST) subject to a maximum age limit of 50 years for Office Assistants; 5 years for Officers.
  • Widows, Divorced women and women legally separated (not remarried): Upto 35 years for General/EWS, 38 years for OBC, and 40 years for SC/ST candidates (only for Office Assistants).

Educational Qualifications & Post Qualification Experience (as on 2025-09-21)

  • Office Assistants (Multipurpose):
    • Essential: Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent. Proficiency in local language as prescribed by the participating RRB/s.
    • Desirable: Working knowledge of Computer.
  • Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager):
    • Essential: Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent. Preference given to candidates with degrees in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics or Accountancy. Proficiency in local language as prescribed by the participating RRB/s.
    • Desirable: Working knowledge of Computer.
  • Officer Scale-II General Banking Officer (Manager):
    • Essential: Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Preference for degrees in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy.
    • Experience: Two years as an officer in a Bank or Financial Institution.
  • Officer Scale-II Specialist Officers (Manager):
    • Information Technology Officer: Bachelor's degree from a recognised University in Electronics / Communication / Computer Science / Information Technology or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Experience: One year in the relevant field. Desirable: Certificate in ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC, OCP etc.
    • Chartered Accountant: Certified Associate from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Experience: One Year as a Chartered Accountant.
    • Law Officer: Degree from a recognised University in Law or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Experience: Two years as an advocate or should have worked as Law Officer in Banks or Financial Institutions for a period of not less than two years.
    • Treasury Manager: Chartered Accountant or MBA in Finance from a recognized university/ institution. Experience: One Year (in the relevant field).
    • Marketing Officer: MBA in Marketing from a recognized university. Experience: One Year (in the relevant field).
    • Agricultural Officer: Bachelor's degree in Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Dairy/ Animal Husbandry/ Forestry/ Veterinary Science/ Agricultural Engineering/ Pisciculture from a recognized university or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Experience: Two Years (in the relevant field).
  • Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager):
    • Essential: Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Preference for degrees in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Co-operation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy.
    • Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience as an Officer in a Bank or Financial Institutions.

Application Fee/Intimation Charges (Online payment from 2025-09-01 to 2025-09-21)

  • Officer (Scale I, II & III):
    • Rs. 175/- (Inclusive of GST) for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
    • Rs. 850/- (Inclusive of GST) for all others.
  • Office Assistants (Multipurpose):
    • Rs. 175/- (Inclusive of GST) for SC/ST/PwBD/ESM/DESM candidates.
    • Rs. 850/- (Inclusive of GST) for all others.

Bank Transaction charges for Online Payment of application fees/intimation charges will have to be borne by the candidate.

Online Examination Structure

Preliminary Examination (Objective)

  • Office Assistants (Multipurpose) / Officer Scale-I:
    • Total 80 Questions, 80 Marks, 45 minutes duration.
    • Sections: Reasoning (40Q, 40M, 25min) and Numerical Ability/Quantitative Aptitude (40Q, 40M, 20min).

Main Examination (Objective)

  • Office Assistants (Multipurpose) / Officer Scale-I:
    • Total 200 Questions, 200 Marks, 120 minutes duration.
    • Sections: Reasoning (40Q, 50M, 30min), Computer Knowledge (40Q, 20M, 15min), General Awareness (40Q, 40M, 15min), English Language/Hindi Language (40Q, 40M, 30min), Numerical Ability/Quantitative Aptitude (40Q, 50M, 30min).

Single Level Examination (Objective)

  • Officer Scale-II (General Banking Officer) / Officer Scale-III:
    • Total 200 Questions, 200 Marks, 120 minutes duration.
    • Sections: Reasoning (40Q, 50M, 30min), Computer Knowledge (40Q, 20M, 15min), Financial Awareness (40Q, 40M, 15min), English Language/Hindi Language (40Q, 40M, 30min), Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation (40Q, 50M, 30min).
  • Officer Scale-II (Specialist Cadre):
    • Total 240 Questions, 200 Marks, 150 minutes duration.
    • Sections: Professional Knowledge (40Q, 40M, 30min), Reasoning (40Q, 40M, 30min), Financial Awareness (40Q, 40M, 15min), English Language/Hindi Language (40Q, 20M, 30min), Computer Knowledge (40Q, 20M, 15min), Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation (40Q, 40M, 30min).

Penalty for Wrong Answers

One fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted for each wrong answer in the Objective Tests.

Interview

Applicable only for Officers (Scale I, II and III). Shortlisted candidates from the Main/Single examination will be called for a Common Interview. The total marks allotted for the Interview are 100. Minimum qualifying marks are 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates). The relative weightage (ratio) of Online Examination and Interview will be 80:20 respectively.

How to Apply

Candidates must apply online through the official IBPS website www.ibps.in. The online application window is from 2025-09-01 to 2025-09-21. Applicants need to register, fill in their details, upload scanned images of their photograph, signature, left thumb impression, and a hand-written declaration, along with relevant certificates (SSC/SSLC/10th Standard or equivalent, Caste/Category, UDID card, etc.), and pay the application fees online.

Document Specifications

  • Photograph (4.5cm × 3.5cm): Recent passport-style colour picture, light/white background, 20kb-50kb. Live photo capture facility available.
  • Signature: Black ink on white paper, 140x60 pixels, 10kb-20kb. Not in CAPITAL LETTERS.
  • Left Thumb Impression: Black or blue ink on white paper, 240x240 pixels (3cm x 3cm), 20kb-50kb.
  • Hand-written declaration: English only, black ink on white paper, 800x400 pixels (10cm x 5cm), 50kb-100kb. Not in CAPITAL LETTERS. The text for the declaration is: “I, (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.”
  • Certificates (SSC/SSLC/10th Standard, UDID card, other eligibility certificates): PDF format, A4 size, not exceeding 500KB.

Edit Window

After the online application closing date, a 2-3 day edit window will be provided (dates to be notified on the official IBPS website) to allow candidates to correct/modify their online application form. However, certain fields like Name, Email ID, Mobile Number, State/UT, Correspondence Address, Permanent Address, Post, and Nationality cannot be edited. A correction fee of Rs. 200/- (inclusive of GST) will be applicable.

General Instructions

  • Candidates must produce valid call letters and photo identity proof (bearing the same name as on the call letter) at the examination and interview. Ration Card and Learner's Driving License are not accepted as valid ID proof.
  • For preliminary exams, call letters will be authenticated/stamped but not collected. For main exams, authenticated preliminary call letters and photo ID proof, along with main exam call letters, must be submitted.
  • Candidates are advised to possess/acquire a valid Aadhaar card for the CRP process.
  • Only one application is allowed for each cadre (Office Assistant and one Officer cadre). Multiple applications for the same cadre will lead to rejection of earlier applications.
  • IBPS reserves the right to cancel/modify/add any criteria or method of selection. All announcements will be on www.ibps.in.

Provisional Allotment

Provisional allotment will be based on actual vacancies reported by RRBs, merit-cum-preference, Government Guidelines, and administrative exigencies. Once provisional allotment is made, it will be final, and no requests for change will be entertained. A reserve list will be drawn up to the extent of vacancies as per existing provisions. The validity of CRP for RRBs- XIV will expire one year after the date of Provisional Allotment or until a fresh provisional allotment is made, whichever is earlier.

The Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024

This Act aims to deter unfair means in public examinations. Any candidate found engaging in unfair practices, impersonation, or providing false information will be subject to criminal prosecution, disqualification, debarment from future exams, and termination of service if already joined.
