The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the results of the Indian Economic Service (IES) / Indian Statistical Service (ISS) Examination, 2025. The written examination was held from 20th to 22nd June, 2025, followed by interviews for the Personality Test in September, 2025. This press note details the candidates recommended for appointment to posts in the IES and ISS.
The Government reported the following number of vacancies for the posts:

Note: Due to non-availability of PwBD-4&5 candidate, 01 backlog vacancy of PwBD-4&5 has been filled by the PwBD-1 category candidate after applying interchangeability provision, on the basis of merit order, in terms of DoPT's OM 36035/2/2017-Estt.(Res) dated 15.01.2018.
Appointments will be made strictly in accordance with existing rules and the number of available vacancies.
The offer of appointment to candidates whose results are provisional will be issued only after the Commission verifies the original documents and clarifies their provisional status. This provisionality is valid for three months from the date of the declaration of the Final result. Failure to submit the required documents within this period will lead to the cancellation of candidature and no further correspondence.
Candidates can obtain any information or clarification regarding their examination/recruitment from the UPSC 'Facilitation Counter' located near the Examination Hall on its campus. The counter operates on working days between 10:00 hrs. and 17:00 hrs. in person or via telephone at 011-23385271 / 23381125.
The results are also available on the UPSC website: www.upsc.gov.in. The marks of the candidates will be made available on the website within fifteen days from the date of publication of the result.
