Important Dates

Application and Account Creation

  • Account Creation: A valid and active personal mobile number and email ID are required to create an account. OTPs will be sent for verification.
  • Existing Accounts: Candidates who created an account for CEN 08/2024 or later do not need to create a new one. They can use the same login credentials.
  • Application Process: After creating an account, log in and complete the five sections: Personal Details, Other Details, Educational Qualification, Document Upload, and Priority & Preview. Complete the fee payment to finalize the submission.
  • Modification: A non-refundable fee of ₹250 is charged for each modification opportunity. Details provided during 'Create Account' (Email, Mobile Number) and the chosen RRB cannot be modified.
  • Technical Recommendation: It is advised to use a desktop or laptop to fill the application form, as some features may not function correctly on mobile platforms.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess the required educational/technical qualifications on or before the application closing date (02.03.2026). Candidates awaiting final results are not eligible.
  • Age Calculation: The crucial date for age calculation is 01.01.2026.
  • Caste/Community Status: The crucial date for claiming SC/ST/OBC/EWS status is the closing date for online applications (02.03.2026). The certificate must be valid on this date.
  • LASIK Surgery: Candidates who have undergone LASIK surgery are conditionally eligible for posts under Medical Standards A2 and A3. (Refer to Para 3.0 of the detailed notification).

Application Rules

  • Multiple Applications: Applying to more than one RRB or submitting multiple applications to the same RRB is strictly prohibited. All such applications will be rejected, and the candidate will be debarred from future RRB/RRC examinations.
  • Combined Application: A single combined application can be submitted for multiple posts within a single RRB, provided the candidate meets the eligibility criteria for all posts.
  • Post Preference: Candidates must provide their order of preference for all posts they are eligible for within the chosen RRB. Preferences once submitted are final.

Fees, Refunds, and Concessions

  • Payment Methods: Fees can be paid online via Net Banking, Credit/Debit Card, or UPI.
  • Fee Refund: The examination fee (after deduction of bank charges) will be refunded only to those candidates who appear for the Computer Based Test (CBT). The application modification fee is non-refundable.
  • Fee Concession Eligibility: Fee concessions are available for SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, Female, Transgender, Minorities, and Economically Backward Class (EBC) candidates.
  • EBC (Economically Backward Class): Candidates with an annual family income of less than ₹50,000. EBC status provides only a fee concession and not reservation in posts.
  • Free Travel Authority (Railway Pass): This facility is available only for SC/ST candidates. They must opt for it during the application process and upload a valid caste certificate.

Document Requirements

  • Aadhaar Verification: Required to ensure the authenticity of the candidate. If Aadhaar is not available, other IDs like a Driving License, Passport, PAN card, or Voter ID can be used.
  • Name Change: Candidates with a changed name must possess a Gazette Notification or relevant legal document.
  • NOC (No Objection Certificate): Required for serving employees in Central/State Govt/PSUs, Railway Employees, and Ex-servicemen who have secured civil employment.

Upload Specifications

  • Caste Certificate (for SC/ST pass): PDF format, size less than 500 KB.
  • Photograph: JPEG format, size between 40 KB and 70 KB (min 100 DPI).
  • Signature: JPEG format, size between 30 KB and 70 KB (min 100 DPI).

Recruitment Process

  • Stages: Single Stage Computer Based Test (CBT), Translation Test (as applicable), Document Verification (DV), and Medical Examination (ME).
  • Negative Marking: There will be a negative marking of 1/3 of the marks for each incorrect answer in the CBT.
