Subject: Combined Recruitment Test for Recruitment

This notice is an addendum regarding the Combined Recruitment Test for various posts under different departments. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has decided to conduct an Offline Pen and Paper Based COMBINED RECRUITMENT TEST for short-listing candidates.

Vacancy Details

  • (i) Assistant Legal Advisor: 5 vacancies (SC-01, OBC-01, UR-03) in Directorate of Enforcement, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance. [Adv. No. 06/2025, Vacancy No. 25050622224].
  • (ii) Assistant Director (Corporate Law): 3 vacancies (UR-03, PwBD-01)* in Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO), Ministry of Corporate Affairs. [Adv. No. 07/2025, Vacancy No. 25060702214].

Recruitment Test Details

  • Date: 11.01.2026 (Sunday)
  • Session: Forenoon Session
  • Time: 10:00 A.M to 12:00 P.M
  • Only candidates shortlisted in the Recruitment Test (RT) and who fulfill all eligibility conditions will be called for an interview.

Scheme of the Test

  • Duration: Two hours.
  • Marks: All questions will carry equal marks.
  • Type: Objective type questions with multiple choices.
  • Medium: English only.
  • Penalty for Wrong Answers: One-third of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for every wrong answer. No penalty for unmarked questions.
  • Maximum Marks: 300.

Important Notes

  • Note-I: Intimation about the venue of the recruitment test will be communicated to candidates in due course. E-Admit Cards will be released one week prior to the date of the recruitment test.
  • Note-II: The Combined RT and the Interview shall carry a 75:25 weightage for those candidates shortlisted from the Recruitment Test and those who qualify in the interview.
  • Note-III: No request for change of test centre will be entertained.

Standard of Suitability for Interview

The standard of suitability for the interview for candidates belonging to various categories is fixed as under:

  • General/EWS Category: 50 and above
  • OBC: 45 and above (on relaxed standards)
  • SC/ST: 40 and above (on relaxed standards)
  • PWD (Gen/EWS/OBC/SC/ST): 40 and above (on relaxed standards)
