Application Fee

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

1. Police Sub-Inspector (Confidential):

  • A Bachelor's degree from a university established by law in India or an equivalent recognized qualification.
  • Hindi Typing (Inscript Keyboard on Unicode) speed of at least 25 WPM and English Typing speed of at least 30 WPM.
  • Hindi Stenography speed of at least 80 WPM.
  • Passed 'O' Level computer examination from NIELIT (formerly DOEACC Society) or equivalent.

2. Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (Clerk):

  • A Bachelor's degree from a university established by law in India or an equivalent recognized qualification.
  • Hindi Typing (Inscript Keyboard on Unicode) speed of at least 25 WPM and English Typing speed of at least 30 WPM.
  • Passed 'O' Level computer examination from NIELIT (formerly DOEACC Society) or equivalent.

3. Police Assistant Sub-Inspector (Accounts):

  • A Bachelor's degree in Commerce or a Post Graduate Diploma in Accountancy from a university established by law in India or an equivalent recognized qualification.
  • Hindi Typing (Inscript Keyboard on Unicode) speed of at least 15 WPM.
  • Passed 'O' Level computer examination from NIELIT (formerly DOEACC Society) or equivalent.

Age Limit (as on 01-07-2025)

  • Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of more than 28 years. This means the candidate should not be born before 01 July 1997 and not after 01 July 2004.
  • Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories (OBC, SC, ST) as per government norms for UP domicile candidates.

Recruitment Process

  1. Offline Written Examination
  2. Document Verification & Physical Standard Test (PST)
  3. Computer Typing and Stenography Test
  4. Medical Examination
  5. Character Verification

Written Examination Pattern

The offline written exam will be of 400 marks and objective type.

  • Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes (150 minutes).
  • Qualifying Marks: Candidates failing to obtain 35% normalized marks in each subject and 40% normalized marks in total will not be eligible for recruitment.

Physical Standard Test (PST)

For Male Candidates:

A minimum chest expansion of 5 cm is mandatory.

Application Procedure

Candidates must first complete One Time Registration (OTR) on the official website. After OTR, they can proceed to fill the application form for the specific recruitment. All necessary documents must be uploaded, preferably through DigiLocker where available.
