Introduction

State Bank of India (SBI) invites online applications from eligible Indian citizens for appointment to Specialist Cadre Officers Posts on a Regular Basis. Candidates are advised to apply online through the link provided on the Bank's official website and to carefully read and understand the contents of this notification before applying.

Important Instructions

  • Eligibility: Candidates must ensure they fulfill all eligibility criteria for the post(s) as on the date of eligibility. Online application and fee payment are mandatory by the last date.
  • Application Mode: Apply online only via the Bank's official website. No hard copies of applications or documents need to be sent.
  • Timely Application: Candidates are advised to apply well before the closing date to avoid potential issues due to heavy internet load or website jams. SBI is not responsible for submission failures due to external reasons.
  • Accuracy: Before submission, verify all details filled in the application form. No changes or corrections will be allowed after the online application window expires.

  • Document Upload: All required documents (Resume, ID proof, Age proof, Caste Certificate (if applicable), PwBD Certificate (if applicable), Educational qualification, other qualifications/certifications, Proof of Experience, etc.) must be uploaded. Failure to upload will lead to non-consideration for Shortlisting/Interview.
  • Provisional Admission: Admission to all stages of recruitment (e.g., shortlisting, interview) is purely provisional, subject to satisfying eligibility conditions. Shortlisting is provisional without document verification. Candidature is subject to verification of original documents at the time of interview.
  • Appointment: Selected candidates' appointment is subject to verification of eligibility, credentials, certificates, satisfactory references, medical examination, and antecedents.
  • Relaxation Claims: Candidates seeking age relaxation or fee exemption must submit valid requisite certificates from the Competent Authority in the prescribed format when requested. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of candidature.
  • Adverse Reports: Candidates with adverse reports regarding character, antecedents, or moral turpitude are not eligible. If found post-selection, candidature/services will be rejected.
  • Multiple Applications: Candidates are not allowed to apply for more than one post. If multiple applications are submitted, only the last valid (completed) application will be retained, and fees for other registrations will be forfeited. Multiple attendance at interview/joining will result in rejection.
  • Vacancy Changes: The Bank reserves the right to change notified vacancies, including reserved ones, without assigning any reasons.
  • Recruitment Process Modification: The Bank reserves the right to cancel or modify the recruitment process entirely or partially at any stage/time for any particular post/all posts, without assigning any reasons. The Bank will not be liable to refund fees or pay compensation.

  • Interview Venues: The Bank will decide interview venues, and no requests in this regard will be entertained.
  • Eligibility at Interview: If a candidate called for interview is found not satisfying eligibility criteria, they will not be allowed to appear and will not be reimbursed for travelling expenses.
  • Tie-breaking: In case of a tie in marks on the final merit list, candidates will be ranked by age in descending order.
  • No Objection Certificate (NOC): Candidates serving in Government/Quasi Government offices, Public Sector Undertakings (including Nationalized Banks), and Financial Institutions must submit a 'No Objection Certificate' from their employer at the time of interview. Failure to do so will lead to non-consideration and no travel expenses reimbursement.
  • Discharge Certificate: Upon selection, candidates must produce a proper discharge certificate from their current employer at the time of taking up the appointment.
  • CIBIL Status: Candidates who have defaulted in repayment under any lending arrangement with Banks/NBFCs/Financial Institutions (including credit card dues) and have not regularized/repaid their outstanding amounts by the date of issuance of the offer of appointment will not be eligible. If regularized by the offer date but CIBIL status is not updated by the joining date, they must update CIBIL or provide NOCs from lenders. Adverse CIBIL reports make candidates ineligible.

Important Points (Reservation and Age Relaxation)

  • PwBD reservation is horizontal and included within the respective parent category.
  • Vacancies are provisional and may vary.

Model Validator (Common for Manager and Deputy Manager)

  • Role: Model Validator
  • Responsibilities and Functions:
    • Model Validation: Assist in the validation of financial models to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Data Analysis: Conduct statistical analysis and stress testing on models to evaluate their performance and robustness.
    • Documentation: Prepare detailed documentation of validation processes, findings, and recommendations.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with senior model validators, risk management, finance, and IT departments to support model validation activities.
    • Compliance: Ensure models adhere to internal policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development and enhancement of model validation frameworks and methodologies.
    • Reporting: Assist in the preparation of validation reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on Shortlisting and Interview.

  • Shortlisting: Merely fulfilling minimum qualification and experience does not guarantee an interview. A shortlisting committee will decide parameters and the number of candidates to be shortlisted. The Bank's decision is final, and no correspondence will be entertained.
  • Interview: Carries 100 marks. Qualifying marks will be decided by the Bank.
  • Merit List: Prepared in descending order based on interview scores. In case of a tie, candidates will be ranked according to their age (descending order).
