State Bank of India (SBI) invites online applications from eligible Indian citizens for appointment to Specialist Cadre Officer posts on a regular basis. Interested candidates can apply online through the official website https://bank.sbi/web/careers/current-openings.

Application Process Guidelines

  1. Registration is complete only upon successful fee deposit via Online mode by the last date.
  2. Candidates must ensure they fulfill all eligibility criteria as of the date of eligibility.
  3. Required documents (resume, ID proof, age proof, PwBD Certificate (if applicable), educational qualification, experience etc.) must be uploaded. Failure to upload will result in non-consideration for shortlisting/interview.
  4. Shortlisting is provisional; documents will be verified during the interview.
  5. Ineligible candidates will not be allowed to appear for the interview or receive travel reimbursement.
  6. Candidates should regularly check the Bank’s official website for updates; call letters/advice will be sent by e-mail only (no hard copy).
  7. All revisions/corrigendum will be hosted on the Bank’s website.
  8. In case of tie in marks for the final merit list, candidates will be ranked according to age (descending order).
  9. Do not send hard copies of applications or documents.
  10. Candidates can apply for only ONE post.
  11. Training & teaching experience will not be counted for eligibility in the experience criteria.

CIBIL Criteria

  • Candidates who have defaulted on repayment under any lending arrangement with Banks/NBFCs/Financial Institutions (including credit card dues) and have not regularized/repaid their outstanding amounts by the date of offer of appointment will not be eligible.
  • If outstanding amounts are regularized by the offer date but CIBIL status is not updated, candidates must get it updated or produce NOCs from lenders to confirm no outstanding amounts, failing which the offer may be withdrawn.

Selection Process

The selection process comprises shortlisting and an interview.

  • Shortlisting: The Bank's shortlisting committee will determine the parameters for shortlisting. The decision to call candidates for an interview is final.
  • Interview: Carries 100 marks. The Bank will decide the qualifying marks. No correspondence will be entertained regarding interview marks.
  • Merit List: Prepared category-wise based on interview scores. In case of same scores, candidates will be ranked by age (descending order).

Call Letter for Interview

  • Intimation/Call letters for interviews will be sent by email or uploaded on the Bank's website. No hard copy will be sent.

How to Apply (Detailed)

  1. Valid Email ID/Mobile Number: Keep active until result declaration for communication.
  2. Online Registration: Register via https://bank.sbi/web/careers/current-openings and pay the application fee using Internet Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card.
  3. Document Upload: Scan and upload your latest photograph and signature as per specifications. Online application will not be registered without these uploads.
  4. Application Form: Fill carefully. You can save your application up to three times with a provisional registration number and password. Submit completely and proceed to fee payment.
  5. Printout: Take a printout of the system-generated online application forms after registration.
  6. Age Relaxation: Candidates seeking age relaxation must submit necessary certificates at the time of joining. Category cannot be changed after registration.

Guidelines for Payment of Fees

  • Application Fees:
    • Rs. 750/- (Seven Hundred Fifty only) for General/EWS/OBC candidates.
    • No fees/intimation charges for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.
  • Payment must be made through the payment gateway integrated with the application (Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking).
  • Transaction charges are borne by the candidate.
  • Upon successful payment, an e-receipt and application form will be generated; print and retain them.
