Introduction

The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has invited applications from eligible Indian citizens for the recruitment to the post of Development Assistant and Development Assistant (Hindi). Candidates can apply online through the official NABARD website from 17 January 2026 to 03 February 2026.

Eligibility Criteria (as on 01 January 2026)

A) Age Limit

  • Age: Between 21 and 35 years.
  • Born between: Candidates must have been born not earlier than 02 January 1991 and not later than 01 January 2005 (both days inclusive).

B) Educational Qualification

  • Development Assistant: Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (pass class for SC/ST/PWBD/Ex-Servicemen) and knowledge of word processing on PC.
  • Development Assistant (Hindi): Bachelor's Degree from a recognised University in English/Hindi medium with Hindi and English as a compulsory or elective subject with a minimum of 50% marks (pass class for SC/ST/PWBD/EXS candidates) in the aggregate OR Bachelor's Degree with Hindi and English as main subjects with a minimum of 50% marks (pass class for SC/ST/PWBD/EXS candidates). The candidate must be able to translate from English to Hindi and vice-versa and have knowledge of word processing on PC.

Scheme of Selection

The selection process will consist of two phases: Preliminary and Main Examination, followed by a Language Proficiency Test (LPT).

Pay Scale

Selected candidates will draw a starting basic pay of ₹23,100/- per month. The initial monthly gross emoluments will be approximately ₹46,500/-.
