Provisional Panel for Post Graduate Teacher Posts

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB), Gorakhpur has released the provisional panel for the posts of Post Graduate Teacher under CEN No. 07/2024 (Ministerial & Isolated Categories).

Selection Process

Candidates have been provisionally shortlisted based on their performance in the Computer Based Test (CBT), Teaching Skill Test, and Document Verification cum-Medical Examination conducted on 27.02.2026.

Empanelled Categories

The provisional panel includes candidates for the following Post Graduate Teacher categories:

  • Category 3: PGT / HINDI
  • Category 7: PGT / BIOLOGY (ENGLISH MEDIUM)
  • Category 9: PGT / MATHS (ENGLISH MEDIUM)
  • Category 11: PGT / CHEMISTRY (ENGLISH MEDIUM)
  • Category 12: PGT / ECONOMICS
  • Category 18: PGT / HOME SCIENCE (ENGLISH MEDIUM)
  • Category 19: PGT / PHYSICS
  • Category 22: PGT / SOCIOLOGY

Note: The results for some candidates are subject to the submission of a caste certificate in the prescribed format.

Tie-Breaking Criteria

In cases where two or more candidates have secured the same marks, the merit position has been determined by age criteria. The older candidate is placed at a higher merit. If the age is also the same, the alphabetical order (A to Z) of the names has been used to break the tie.

Important Information

  • The candidature of all candidates is purely provisional and is liable to be cancelled if any inconsistency or deficiency is found in the data furnished by them.
  • Being placed on the provisional panel does not guarantee an appointment in the railways.
  • The list of selected candidates is being forwarded to the Principal Chief Personnel Officer, North Eastern Railway, Gorakhpur for further action on appointment.
  • All candidates will be required to submit an affidavit confirming that their Degree/Diploma and Caste certificates are genuine and valid.
  • Candidates are advised to beware of touts and not to fall for false promises of selection through illegal means. The selection process is fully computerized and based on merit.
  • Candidates should regularly visit the official RRB website for updates.
