The High Court of Bombay has announced the centre-wise venues for the Limited Competitive Examination for accelerated promotion to the post of Civil Judge, Senior Division (10%) in the State of Maharashtra. The examination is part of the Selection Process – 2025.

Important Information

  • The centre-wise lists of eligible Judicial Officers are published with this notice.
  • Call letters will be issued to the eligible Judicial Officers appearing for the examination.
  • The syllabus and marking system for the examination were published on 20.01.2026 and 02.02.2026, respectively, on the official website of the Bombay High Court.

Instructions to Judicial Officers

General

  • Candidates must bring the examination admit card (call letter).
  • If the admit card is lost, a government-issued identification proof is required.
  • Candidates must be present at the examination centre 45 minutes before the scheduled time.
  • No entry will be allowed into the examination hall after 11:30 a.m.
  • The process of identification and distribution of answer sheets will be conducted from 10:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
  • The examination duration is 90 minutes, starting sharply at 11:30 a.m.
  • Candidates are not allowed to leave the examination hall during the exam.
  • A black ink ball pen must be brought for filling in all details on the answer sheet.
  • All particulars on the attendance sheet must be filled carefully.
  • Do not mention names anywhere on the answer sheet.
  • Electronic devices such as mobile phones, smartwatches, etc., are strictly prohibited.

Question Booklet and Answer Sheet

  • The question booklet will contain 100 questions carrying a total of 200 marks.
  • Candidates must check the question booklet for any printing errors or missing pages immediately after receiving it.
  • The booklet series (A, B, C, or D) must be clearly encoded on the answer sheet by shadowing the appropriate circle.
  • There is a penalty for wrong answers: one-fourth (0.50) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted.
  • Marking more than one answer will be treated as a wrong answer.
  • No penalty for questions left unanswered.
  • The name of the Examination should be written as "S.D. - 2025, MAH (10%)" on the answer sheet.
  • Candidates are allowed to carry the question booklet and Part II of the carbonless OMR answer sheet with them after the examination concludes.
