Addendum to Examination Notice

F. No.4/2/2025-CONF-5: This is an addendum to the Notice of Grade 'C' Stenographers Limited Departmental Competitive Examination, 2025, originally published by the Commission on its website on 22.12.2025. The last date for receipt of applications for the original notice was 11.01.2026.

Eligibility Update for Indian Foreign Service Branch(B) Stenographers Service

As requested by the Ministry of External Affairs, the following additions have been made to the 'Conditions of Eligibility' under Para 31 of the original examination notice for candidates of the Indian Foreign Service Branch(B) Stenographers Service:

  • "Stenographer Grade ‘D' of the 2018 batch are provisionally allowed to appear in Grade C Stenographers LDCE-2025 subject to grant of relaxation of one year in the approved service by the Competent Authority.
  • Further, the inclusion of candidates in the select list of the respective year will be subject to any judicial directive/judgment having a bearing upon the recruitment/seniority in the Stenographers Cadre of IFS 'B'."

All other terms and conditions of the Notice of Grade 'C' Stenographers Limited Departmental Competitive Examination, 2025 shall remain unchanged.
