Important Dates

  • Application Registration Start Date: 30.12.2025
  • Last Date for Online Application Submission: 29.01.2026 (23:59 hrs)
  • Last Date for Fee Payment: 31.01.2026 (23:59 hrs)
  • Application Modification Window: 01.02.2026 to 10.02.2026. A non-refundable modification fee of ₹250 is applicable for each modification instance.

Application Process

Account Creation

  • Requirements: A valid and active mobile number and a personal email ID.
  • Existing Users: Candidates who have already created an account for any RRB notification in 2024 or 2025 do not need to create a new one. They can log in using the same credentials.
  • Process: Click on 'Apply', select 'Create an Account', fill in the required details, and verify using the OTP sent to your mobile number and email.
  • Modification of Account Details: Details filled in the 'Create an Account' form (including email ID and mobile number) cannot be changed. For genuine reasons, requests with supporting documents can be sent to rrb.help@csc.gov.in.

Filling the Application Form

  • After creating an account, log in and complete the application form, which consists of five sections: Personal Details, Other Details, Educational Qualification, Document Upload, and Priority & Preview/Submit.
  • It is advisable to use a desktop or laptop for filling the application, as some features may not function correctly on mobile platforms.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess the prescribed educational/technical/professional qualifications on or before the closing date for submission of the online application (29.01.2026). Candidates awaiting final results are not eligible.
  • LASIK Surgery: For eligibility norms related to LASIK surgery, please refer to Para 3.0 of the detailed notification.
  • Age Calculation: The crucial date for age calculation is 01.01.2026.

Application Details

  • Multiple Pay Levels: Candidates can submit a single combined application for different pay levels if they meet the eligibility criteria for all of them.
  • Applying to RRBs: A candidate is allowed to apply to only one RRB for a given pay level. Submitting multiple applications to different RRBs will lead to the rejection of all applications and debarment from future RRB/RRC examinations.

Fees and Refunds

  • Fee Payment: Payment can be made online via Net Banking, Credit/Debit Card, or UPI services. Processing fees and GST will be applicable.
  • Fee Refund: The examination fee is refundable (after deduction of bank charges) only to candidates who appear for the Computer Based Test (CBT). The fee for application modification is non-refundable.
  • Refund Policy: The fee paid is non-refundable, and chargeback claims are not permissible. No refund will be issued for rejected, incomplete, or incorrect applications, or for non-attendance at the CBT.

Reservations and Concessions

  • SC/ST/OBC/EWS Status: Candidates seeking reservation benefits must possess a valid caste/community certificate as of the application closing date (29.01.2026).
  • Free Travel Pass for SC/ST: This facility is available only for SC/ST candidates. To avail this, candidates must select 'Yes' in the application form, provide the name of the nearest railway station, and upload their caste certificate.
  • Economically Backward Class (EBC): EBC candidates (annual family income less than ₹50,000) are eligible for a fee concession. They must have a valid EBC certificate, BPL card, or Izzat MST by the application closing date. There are no reserved posts for EBC candidates.
  • Ex-Servicemen: Serving personnel can apply if they are scheduled to be released from service within one year from the application closing date (i.e., on or before 29.01.2026).
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD):
    • The benchmark disability is 40% or more.
    • PwBD candidates can apply for unreserved vacancies if they are deemed suitable for the post as per Annexure-A of the notification.
    • Scribe facility is available for eligible candidates.

Document Requirements

  • Aadhaar Verification: Mandatory for identity verification. If a candidate does not have an Aadhaar card, they can provide details of other specified documents like a Driving License, Passport, PAN card, etc.
  • No Objection Certificate (NOC): Serving employees of Railways, Central/State Government, or PSUs, as well as Ex-servicemen already in civil employment, must produce an NOC at the time of Document Verification.
  • Document Upload Specifications:
    • Photograph: JPEG format, 40 KB - 70 KB (min 100 DPI).
    • Signature: JPEG format, 30 KB - 70 KB (min 100 DPI).
    • SC/ST Certificate (for travel pass): PDF format, up to 500 KB.

Recruitment Stages

  • The recruitment process includes a Single Stage Computer Based Test (CBT), Performance Test/Teaching Skill Test, Translation Test (as applicable), Document Verification (DV), and Medical Examination (ME).
  • Negative Marking: There will be a negative marking of 1/3rd of the marks for each wrong answer in the CBT.
  • Syllabus and Pattern: For details, refer to Para 13.5 to 13.13 and Annexure VII to XIV of the detailed CEN 08/2025.

Post-Application Submission

  • Confirmation: The application is considered finally submitted only after the successful payment of fees. Confirmation will be sent via email and SMS.
  • Printing Application: Candidates can take a printout of their application after the fee payment is confirmed.
  • Post Preferences: Candidates are advised to provide preferences for all posts they are eligible for within their chosen RRB. Preferences once submitted are final and cannot be changed.
