Online applications are invited for direct recruitment for a total of 5500 posts in the Police department from Common Eligibility Test (CET) Group-C qualified candidates.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification (for all categories)

  1. Passed 10+2 from a recognized education Board/Institution.
  2. Hindi/Sanskrit up to Matric standard or higher education.
  3. No extra weightage will be given for any higher education.

Age Limit

  • 18-25 years as on 01.01.2026 for all CET Group C qualified candidates.
  • Candidates who applied earlier against Advt. No. 14/2024 (Cat No. 1 & 2): 18-25 years as on 01.09.2024. They must apply afresh.
  • Age relaxation for reserved categories (SC, BC, EWS) is applicable as per government norms.

Selection Process

The selection process will consist of the following stages:

  1. Qualifying Tests:
    • Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
    • Physical Screening Test (PST)
  2. Knowledge Test (97% weightage)
  3. Additional Weightage (3% weightage)

Physical Measurement Test (PMT)

This test is of qualifying nature only.

Physical Screening Test (PST)

This test is to judge physical fitness and endurance.

Knowledge Test (97% Weightage)

  • Weightage: 97% of the total marks.
  • Pattern: Objective type, multiple-choice questions (MCQ), OMR-based offline exam.
  • Medium: Bilingual (Hindi/English).
  • Syllabus: General Studies, General Science, Current Affairs, General Reasoning, Mental Aptitude, Numerical ability, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, etc.
    • At least 10% questions on basic knowledge of computer.
    • At least 20% questions on basic knowledge about Haryana.
  • Qualifying Marks: Minimum 50% for General category and 40% for reserved categories.
  • Negative Marking: There is no negative marking for a wrong answer. However, failure to fill any of the five bubbles for a question will result in a deduction of 0.97 marks.

Additional Weightage (Maximum 03 Marks)

  • Candidates with an NCC certificate (A, B, or C level) will receive 01, 02, and 03 marks respectively.

Important Dates for Certificates

  • BCA/BCB/EWS Candidates: Certificate must be issued on or after 01.04.2025 and on or before the closing date.
  • DSC/OSC Candidates: Certificate must be issued after 13.11.2024 and on or before the closing date.
  • Family member of ESM: Eligibility Certificate must be issued/renewed on or after 12.01.2025 and on or before the closing date.
