Online applications are invited from eligible candidates for Apprenticeship Training under the Apprentices Act, 1961, and Apprenticeship Rules, 1962, in various units of North Eastern Railway.

Detailed trade-wise slots, along with reservation break-up for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen & their wards, are available in the official notification.
Candidates must have passed High School/10th with a minimum of 50% marks and possess an ITI certificate in the notified trade from a recognized board/institute.
Selected candidates will be required to submit a Medical Certificate in the prescribed format, issued by an authorized Medical Officer, during document verification. Eligibility for Divyang candidates will be governed by Railway Board guidelines. Detailed standards for physical fitness are provided in Schedule-II of the notification.
Applications and processing fees must be submitted online through the N. E. Railway's website: www.ner.indianrailways.gov.in. Candidates should ensure eligibility before applying.
Selection will be based on a merit list prepared by taking the average percentage of marks obtained in both Matriculation (with minimum 50% aggregate marks) and the ITI examination, with equal weightage given to both. Candidates may opt for more than one unit/place. Document verification will be conducted at Gorakhpur, requiring original certificates, testimonials, online application copy, medical certificate, and 4 passport-sized photographs. Apprentice training will commence at the allotted Division/Unit.
Training will be provided according to the standards and syllabus prescribed by the Central Apprenticeship Council, subject to registration with RDAT/Kanpur. Stipend will be paid at prescribed rates as per extant rules/instructions.
Act apprentices undergoing training in Railway establishments will not have any claim to seek employment on Railways based on such training.

While SMS/Email may be sent, candidates are advised to visit the NER website regularly. Document verification schedules will be published on the website at short notice.
