Delisted Candidates
The Railway Recruitment Board, Jammu has delisted candidates from various Centralized Employment Notices (CEN) who could not be considered for empanelment for the reasons mentioned below.
Candidates Absconding from Medical Examination / Absent in DV:
- CEN-01/2024 (ALP): 1 candidate absconded from Medical Examination.
- CEN-02/2024 (Technicians): 2 candidates were absent in DV.
- CEN-03/2024 (JE): 2 candidates were absent in DV.
- CEN-04/2024 (Para Medical): 2 candidates were absent in DV.
Candidates Unfit in Prescribed Medical Examination:
- CEN 02/2024 (Technicians): 1 candidate was not considered for empanelment due to being found unfit in the prescribed medical examination.
Procedure for Appeal for Medically Unfit Candidates
Candidates declared medically unfit can submit an appeal to the Principal Chief Medical Director (PCMD), Northern Railway, Baroda House, New Delhi. The appeal must be routed through The Chairman, Railway Recruitment Board, Railway Colony West, Jammu 180012.
Last Date for Appeal: The appeal must be submitted by Registered Post/Speed Post only, to reach before 18:00 hours on 19/03/2026.
Conditions for Appeal
The appeal will be entertained only if the following conditions are met:
- The candidate must produce a certificate in the prescribed format (Proforma A) from a Government/Private specialist in the field where the candidate was found unfit.
- The specialist's certificate must explicitly state their awareness of the Railways' physical and visual standards for the specific medical category and the candidate's prior unfitness declaration.
- The certificate must bear the candidate's photograph and identification mark, duly attested by the issuing doctor, along with their MCI/State registration number.
- An appeal fee of Rs. 1000/- (Rupees One thousand only) must be paid via Demand Draft payable in favor of Chairman/RRB/Jammu.
- If PCMD deems a re-examination necessary, a medical board will be nominated. The decision of the PCMD, Northern Railway will be final and communicated through RRB/Jammu.
- If the candidate is declared 'fit' upon appeal, the Rs. 1000/- fee will be refunded. In all other cases, the amount will be forfeited.
- No further opportunities for medical examination will be provided after this appeal.
Important Notes
- The appeal must be in the candidate's own handwriting and signed.
- Proforma 'A' must include detailed diagnosis particulars, including visual standards both with and without glasses.
- The appeal will only be considered if submitted with the appeal letter (Proforma B), the Original Medical Certificate (Proforma A), and the Demand Draft for Rs. 1000/-.
