Subject: Correction in particulars of the Online Application Form for UGC - NET December 2025

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been entrusted by the University Grants Commission (UGC) with the task of conducting UGC-NET. This examination is a test to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for:

  • Award of Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as Assistant Professor.
  • Appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D.
  • Admission to Ph.D. only in Indian universities and colleges.

As per the Information Bulletin and earlier Public Notice, candidates are being provided an opportunity to make corrections in the particulars of their Online Application Form for the UGC-NET December 2025 examination. The schedule for corrections is as follows:

Correction Window

  • Duration: 10th November 2025 (from 10:00 A.M.) to 12th November 2025 (Up to 11:50 P.M.).

Fields for Corrections

No change allowed in:

  • Candidate's Name
  • Gender
  • Photograph
  • Signature
  • Mobile Number
  • Email Address
  • Permanent and Correspondence Address
  • Examination City

Change is allowed in:

  • Date of Birth
  • Category
  • Father's Name
  • Mother's Name

Important Instructions

  1. All registered candidates are advised to visit the official website, https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in, to verify their particulars in their respective Online Application Forms.
  2. If required, corrections may be made only in the permitted fields within the specified period.
  3. No corrections will be accepted after 12 November 2025 (11:50 P.M.) under any circumstances.
  4. Any additional fee (if applicable) must be paid by the candidate concerned through Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI only.
  5. This facility is extended only once to avoid any hardship. Candidates are advised to make corrections carefully, as no further opportunity for correction will be provided.
