Engagement of Apprentices for the FY 2025-26

Research Centre Imarat (RCI), a premier laboratory of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Missile Complex, DRDO, invites online applications from young and meritorious Indian Nationals for the engagement of Apprentices (Graduate, Diploma, and ITI) for a period of one year.

Note: It is mandatory to have an Aadhaar Seeded Bank account to receive 50% of the stipend from the Board of Apprenticeship and Training (BOAT) under the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) Scheme in respect of Graduate & Technician Apprentice.

Application Procedure

  1. Before applying, candidates must ensure they fulfill the eligibility criteria and other norms mentioned in the detailed Advertisement available on https://drdo.gov.in.
  2. Registration is mandatory:
  3. B.E/B.Tech / Diploma candidates can apply by logging into https://nats.education.gov.in and selecting "Research Centre Imarat Enrolment ID: STLRAC000010".
  4. ITI trade candidates can apply by logging into https://apprenticeshipindia.gov.in, clicking on 'Apprenticeship Opportunities', typing 'RESEARCH CENTRE IMARAT' (Establishment ID: E05203600040) in 'Search by Establishment Name', and clicking Apply after choosing the respective trade.
  5. Candidate should not be less than 18 years of age as on 01st September 2025.
  6. Regular candidates who have completed qualifying examinations (Graduate, Diploma and ITI trade apprentices) in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 possessing a percentage of 70% and more are only eligible to apply.
  7. The last date for receipt of online application is 30 days from the date of publication of the Advertisement in a News Paper.

Selection Procedure

  1. Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD categories will be applicable as per the provisions of the Apprentices Act 1961, Apprentice Rules 1992, and Apprenticeship (Amendment) Rules 2019.
  2. Selection will be made on the basis of Academic Merit / Interview as required, subject to satisfactory verification of documents.
  3. Shortlisted Candidates will be informed via E-mail for correspondence. Candidates are advised to check emails periodically.
  4. Candidates are required to bring Original and Self-attested copies of the following documents during document verification / joining:
    • Signed printout of the Application.
    • NATS / NAPS profile printout.
    • 10th Mark sheet and certificate.
    • B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma / ITI Final Mark sheet/ Provisional.
    • Degree / Provisional Degree / Diploma / ITI certificate.
    • Caste Certificate (if applicable).
    • PWD Certificate (if applicable).
    • Any Photo ID card issued by the Govt. of India (PAN Card / Voter ID / Driving License).
    • Aadhaar Card (Mandatory).
    • Copy of Aadhaar Seeded Bank Pass Book/Statement [Note: It is mandatory to have an Aadhaar Seeded / linked Bank account].
    • Medical fitness certificate issued by a Civil Assistant Surgeon.
    • Two Passport size photographs.
  5. Candidates selected for training will not be allowed to withdraw from training except for reasons beyond their control. A contract of apprenticeship must be executed.
  6. Selected Candidates must produce a valid Police Verification Certificate from their place of last residence (for at least the past one year) or permanent address at the time of joining.
  7. No correspondence will be entertained from candidates NOT selected for Apprenticeship training.
  8. The Management reserves the right to amend / refix / cancel / suspend the selection process at any time without assigning any reason.

Instructions

  1. Verification of documents will be done prior to the creation of the Contract. Candidature will be rejected in case of any deviation or non-conformity with the desired qualification.
  2. All qualifications must be from Indian Institutions recognized by an Appropriate Statutory Authority.
  3. Candidates with higher qualifications are Not eligible to apply.
  4. Suppression of facts will lead to disqualification at any stage.
  5. Candidates who have already undergone or are presently undergoing apprenticeship training under any organization are Not eligible to apply.
  6. Candidates with more than one year of work experience are not eligible to apply.
  7. No TA/DA will be paid to applicants called for any stage of the selection process.
  8. Apprentices will not be provided any Hostel Accommodation, Quarter, and Transport by the establishment.
  9. The engagement and training strictly comply with the Apprenticeship Act 1961, and there is no obligation for employment of apprentices upon completion of their training.
  10. Any canvassing or personal follow-up will lead to the immediate cancellation of candidature.
  11. RCI reserves the right to terminate the apprenticeship if circumstances warrant it.
  12. Legal jurisdiction for any dispute shall be the Honourable High Court, Hyderabad, Telangana.
  13. Selected candidates must abide by the rules and regulations framed by the Administration.
