This corrigendum (Advertisement No. BI.KA.CH.A.-PR.-03/Examination (Advertisement)-49/2025, Memo No. 3929/3710) is issued by the Bihar Staff Selection Commission, Patna, dated 2025-09-27, regarding the advertisement (Memo No. 2984/A0, dated 2025-08-04) for the posts of Office Attendant/Attendant (Special) (Advertisement No. 06/25).
It was observed that the published advertisement did not mention the provision for giving preference to legally appointed contractual employees in regular appointments, as per Bihar Government General Administration Department Resolution No. 1003 dated 2021-01-22 and Letter No. 12897 dated 2022-07-28.
Therefore, a new sub-clause (xi) is added after sub-clause (x) of Clause 8 (Reservation) of the published advertisement, which states:
"(xi) Contractually appointed employees will be given due preference in regular appointments, and the benefit of age relaxation and work experience preference in appointments will only be given for the post for which contractual employment was undertaken. As per Clause (5) of General Administration Department, Bihar, Resolution No. 1003 dated 2021-01-22, this benefit will only be given to legally appointed contractual employees. These facilities will not be applicable to illegal appointments, daily wage employees, and employees working through external service providers."
(a) Preference Marks: For satisfactory service rendered by the candidate on a contractual basis, a maximum of five marks will be awarded per year, up to a maximum of 25 marks. For a part of a year, proportional marks will be added by multiplying the number of working days by 5 and dividing by 365.
(b) Age Relaxation: Age relaxation equivalent to the period of contractual employment will be given, up to the maximum age limit. Any part of the working year will also be included.
Candidates claiming contractual service period must ensure to upload a self-attested experience certificate and an undertaking (Ekrarnama) in the prescribed format, issued by a competent authority (e.g., Departmental Head/Secretary/Director/District Officer), confirming their contractual employment.

Original Vacancies: The published advertisement included a total of 3727 vacancies for Office Attendant/Attendant (Special) from 53 departments/offices. The category-wise distribution was as follows:
