Eligibility Criteria
- Age Limit: Not less than 18 years as on the closing date of application. Upper age limit: General Candidates - 25 Years, OBC Candidates - 28 Years, and SC/ST Candidates - 30 Years.
- Qualification: 10th pass and ITI pass in the respective trade.
- Prior Apprenticeship: Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing Apprenticeship under the Apprenticeship Act 1961 in any Government, PSU, or Private Organization are not eligible to apply.
- Post-Graduation: Candidates with post-graduation are not eligible.
Application Procedure
Candidates are required to apply through the NAPS portal (www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) for Nuclear Fuel Complex, Hyderabad (NAPS-Establishment Code: E11153600013). All required documents/certificates must be uploaded on the portal. Refer to Annexure-I for full details on the application process.
After applying on the portal, candidates will be selected purely on a merit basis, and communication will be sent via email.
Selection Procedure
- Shortlisting: The Selection Committee of NFC will review applications and shortlist candidates based on the indicated vacancies.
- Selection for Trades other than Electrician: Selection will be based on merit (percentage of marks in the qualifying examination). In case of a tie, the percentage of marks in the 10th/SSC will be used as a tie-breaker.
- Selection for Electrician Trade: Selection will be based on an interview.
General Instructions
- Training Commencement: The date of commencement of training will be intimated to shortlisted candidates via email.
- No Right to Employment: The offer of Apprenticeship does not confer any right of employment in NFC, nor is there any provision for appointment after training completion.
- Reporting: Selected candidates must report at NFC, Hyderabad.
- Trade Test: Every apprentice who completes the training period must undergo a Trade Test to determine proficiency. National Apprenticeship Certificates will be awarded by the Controller of Examination (DGT) through the Apprenticeship portal upon passing the test.
- NAPS Registration: ITI Apprentice candidates must register on the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) portal at www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in.
- Email Communication: Candidates are advised to check their emails periodically for updates during the selection process.
- Reservation: Reservation will be applied as per the provisions of the Apprenticeship Act, 1961, and Apprenticeship Rules, 1992. Candidates claiming reservation under SC/ST/OBC (Non Creamy Layer) must specify this during NAPS portal registration and present original certificates at the time of joining.
- Disqualification: Suppression of facts or any deviation/non-conformity in qualifications during verification will lead to immediate disqualification.
- Medical Fitness: Selected candidates must submit a “Medical Fitness Certificate” from an Assistant Civil Surgeon/Civil Surgeon at the time of joining.
- Accommodation: Accommodation may be provided by NFC subject to availability of quarters.
- Police Verification: Candidates must initiate the process for a Police Verification Certificate of the address mentioned on their Aadhaar cards immediately. This certificate will be required on the date of joining.
- Required Documents for Physical Verification (Originals and Photocopies):
- 10th/SSC Board exam Mark sheet/certificate
- ITI Mark sheet & National Trade Certificate
- Caste Certificate & Disability certificate (if applicable)
- Aadhaar card
- Police verification certificate from Superintendent of Police/Commissioner of Police of the respective district
- Saving Bank A/C number & pass book
- Hard copy of the online application form
- 2 recent passport size photographs
- Contract Termination: If an apprentice fails to carry out the terms of the contract, the Apprenticeship will be terminated, and the apprentice must refund the training cost. Such apprentices will not be entitled to enter another apprenticeship contract.
- Stipend: Selected candidates are entitled to stipend as per the provisions of the Apprentice Act, 1961.
- Verification: Character and antecedents of selected candidates will be verified.
- No TA & DA: No Traveling Allowance or Dearness Allowance will be admissible for joining.
- Training Contract: Selected candidates must execute a one-year training contract as per the Apprenticeship Act, 1961, and its rules.
- Canvassing: Any attempt to influence the selection process will lead to immediate cancellation of candidature.
- Final Decision: The decision of NFC Management will be final in case of any dispute.
