The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC), Lucknow, invites online applications from Indian citizens for selection to 7994 vacant posts of Lekhpal under the control of the Revenue Council, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow.

Only those candidates are eligible to apply for the Lekhpal Main Examination who have appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test-2025 (PET-2025) and have been issued a score card by the Commission. Candidates will be shortlisted for the main examination based on their normalized PET-2025 scores. Candidates who have obtained zero or less/negative marks in the absolute or normalized score of PET-2025 will not be shortlisted.

Essential Qualification: The candidate must have passed the Intermediate Examination of the Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Uttar Pradesh, or any examination recognized by the Government as equivalent thereto.

The candidate must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of more than 40 years on the first of July of the calendar year in which the vacancies are advertised. Age relaxation for reserved categories will be applicable as per government rules.
An online processing fee is mandatory for all categories to complete the application process. The examination fee for the main exam will be payable separately by the shortlisted candidates before downloading the admit card.

The selection will be based on a written Main Examination. Shortlisting of candidates for the Main Examination will be done on the basis of their normalized score in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET-2025). Fifteen times the number of candidates against the advertised posts will be shortlisted for the Main Examination, including all candidates who secure the same cut-off marks.
The written examination will consist of one paper with 100 objective and multiple-choice type questions. The duration of the exam will be two hours (120 minutes). There will be a provision for negative marking, with 1/4th (25%) of the marks assigned to the question being deducted for each wrong answer.
