  • Desirable:
    • Qualification: One year Diploma in Computer Application from a recognized Institute.
    • Experience: Two years' experience in software applications.
  • Duties: Assist senior officers in Examination Reforms, Syllabus Revision, and related work.
  • Other Details: Permanent post, General Central Service Group- “A” Gazetted, Non-Ministerial.

General Conditions and Instructions

  • Citizenship: Candidate must be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee before 1962, or a person of Indian origin migrated from specific countries with the intention of permanent settlement in India (certificate of eligibility from Government of India may be required).
  • Age Relaxation: Admissible for Ex-Servicemen, Central Government employees, and PwBDs as per rules. For PwBDs, 10 years age relaxation (maximum 56 years), with minimum 40% disability.
  • Minimum Essential Qualifications (MEQ): All applicants must fulfill MEQ. The Commission may relax qualifications at its discretion for well-qualified candidates or SC/ST candidates (for experience).
  • Shortlisting Criteria: In case of a large number of applications, the Commission may use various methods for shortlisting candidates for interview, including Desirable Qualification, higher educational qualifications/experience, or a Recruitment Test.
  • Interview Suitability: Category-wise minimum suitability marks for interview: UR-50, OBC-45, SC/ST/PH-40 out of 100. If an RT is held, minimum suitability levels will be decided by the Commission for both RT and interview.
  • How to Apply: Apply online through https://upsconline.nic.in. Candidates need to register, generate a Universal Registration Number (URN), and fill out the Common Application Form (CAF) and post-specific module. Upload photograph (live capture required) and supporting documents.
  • Photo ID: Aadhaar Card, Voter Card, PAN Card, Passport, Driving License, or any other Photo ID issued by State/Central Government is required for application and future reference. Aadhaar Card is strongly advised for verification.
  • Documents for Interview: If shortlisted, candidates must bring printouts of their online application and original documents along with self-attested copies as specified in the Summon Letter for interview. Required documents include proof of date of birth, educational qualifications, experience, caste certificate, disability certificate (if applicable), name change gazette (if applicable).
  • Misconduct: Furnishing false information, suppressing material facts, tampering with documents, impersonation, using unfair means, or misbehaving will lead to disqualification and debarment.
