Common Grievance Themes & Findings

Many grievances revolve around the submission and verification of backup certificates, the genuineness of sports achievements, the recognition status of issuing organizations, and discrepancies in assigned priority based on government orders. Candidates frequently requested re-evaluation of their sports credentials or consideration of additional submitted documents.

Common committee findings include:

  • Priority Allotted: Often after verification of genuineness or submission of required forms/certificates.
  • Backup Not Considered: If backup documents were insufficient, lacked proper format, or were not submitted within the grievance period.
  • Genuineness Confirmed: After successful verification of certificates.
  • Association Not Recognized: If the sports association issuing the certificate was not recognized by SAAP or as per relevant G.O.Ms.No. 74/272.
  • Certificates Over 10 Years Old: Several cases mentioned that certificates submitted were over 10 years old, leading to non-allotment of priority as per G.O.Ms. No. 8, unless specific court orders were referenced.
  • Discrepancies in Forms: Issues with submitting incorrect forms (e.g., Form-3 instead of Form-2) or missing details like competition dates.
