Recruitment for Anganwadi Assistant Posts

This is to inform the general public that as per Government Order No. 1/1092245/2025/3313/58-1-2025 (1917687) dated September 17, 2025, online application forms are invited for the recruitment of Anganwadi Assistant posts on an honorarium basis in the Child Development Projects operating in urban/rural areas of Sant Kabir Nagar district. The applications are to be submitted through the departmental website http://upanganwadibharti.in. The details of vacant posts by Gram Panchayat/Ward (urban area)/Project are as follows:

The Gram Sabha wise details of the above posts, along with reservation and complete details of eligibility, have been pasted on the notice boards of the District Collectorate, Vikas Bhawan, Tehsil, Vikas Khand, and Child Development Project Office, and also uploaded on the departmental website http://upanganwadibharti.in.

Eligibility and Special Instructions for Filling Application Form

  1. Only female candidates are eligible for the advertised posts.
  2. The minimum educational qualification for Anganwadi Assistant posts will be Intermediate (12th pass) or equivalent.
  3. In case of more than one eligible candidate in the same category, a merit list will be prepared for all candidates. The merit list for all Anganwadi Assistant posts will be prepared based on the minimum educational qualification of Intermediate (12th pass) or equivalent and the highest educational qualification up to Post-graduation.
  4. Regarding age, the date of birth mentioned in the High School mark sheet and certificate will be considered valid. The applicant's age should be a minimum of 18 years and a maximum of 35 years as of the cut-off date 01.07.2025.
  5. The applicant must be a permanent resident of the ward (urban area) / Gram Sabha (rural area) of the vacant post. In case no eligible candidate from the said category is available in the Gram Sabha, it is mandatory to be a permanent resident of the concerned Nyay Panchayat.
  6. Application forms for the advertised posts will be accepted only through online application on the departmental website http://upanganwadibharti.in within the prescribed time limit. Offline application forms will not be accepted or considered under any circumstances.
  7. The last date for online application for the advertised posts is December 12, 2025, till 12:00 AM.

Selection Priority for Anganwadi Assistant Posts

  • Widowed woman from a Below Poverty Line (BPL) family residing in the same Gram Sabha/Ward (in urban areas).
  • Legally divorced or abandoned woman from a BPL family residing in the same Gram Sabha/Ward (in urban areas).
  • If a widowed/divorced/abandoned woman from a BPL family is not found, then other BPL women from the same Gram Sabha/Ward (in urban areas).

If no such candidate is found as per the above priority, then in the following order:

  • Widowed woman from an Above Poverty Line (APL) family residing in the same Gram Sabha/Ward (in urban areas).
  • Legally divorced or abandoned woman from an APL family residing in the same Gram Sabha/Ward (in urban areas).
  • If a widowed/divorced/abandoned woman from an APL family is not found, then other APL women from the same Gram Sabha/Ward (in urban areas).
  • If no eligible candidate is available in any of the above categories in the same Gram Sabha, selection will be made category-wise from the concerned Nyay Panchayat.
  • For widow status, a death certificate issued by the Gram Panchayat Officer/concerned Municipal Body and an attested copy of the family register will be considered valid.
  • For divorced/abandoned status, a legal order issued by the Hon'ble Court will be considered valid.
  • Regarding income certificate, income certificates issued by the competent authority as per Uttar Pradesh Government Revenue Section-9 Government Order No. 3959/1-9-11-राज0-9 dated 30.09.2011 (as amended), which can be verified online, will be considered valid. In this regard, if any separate Government Order is issued by the Revenue Department in the future, action will be taken according to the provisions mentioned in the new Government Order.
  • Regarding the re-determination of the poverty line income limit, Government Order No. 22/2015/2123/26-2-2015 dated 14 September 2015 (as amended) of Social Welfare Section-2, U.P. Government, regarding the prescribed income limit for the poverty line in rural and urban areas, will be complied with.
  • Regarding residence and caste certificates, residence and caste certificates issued by the Tehsil with an online digital signature, which can be verified online, will be considered valid.
