Interested candidates must send their application in the prescribed format, available on the Commission's website, through registered or speed post. The application must reach the Commission within 14 days of the advertisement's publication in the newspaper. Additionally, candidates are required to submit a Google Form, also available on the Commission's website.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

  • Graduate Degree: In any discipline from a recognized College/University (by either State or Central Government of India).
  • Essential: At least a 01 (one) year Diploma in Basic Computer Course (in Software) with proficiency in MS Office.

Experience (Desirable)

  • At least 06 (six) months working experience in any Central/State Government organization.

Age Limit

  • At the time of initial engagement: 21 - 35 years.

Remuneration

  • Initial Remuneration: Rs.40,000/- per month.
  • Extension: In case of contract extension (based on satisfactory performance review), remuneration may be increased up to 5% on each occasion, subject to a maximum ceiling of 1.25 times the initial remuneration.

Duties and Responsibilities

The engaged Young Professionals (General) will be required to perform the following functions:

  • Handling official communication, preferably in English/Hindi.
  • Noting & drafting on MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint).
  • Scrutiny of documents.
  • Maintaining records.
  • Maintaining close co-ordination with Senior Officers.
  • Any other work assigned by officers from time to time.

Period of Engagement

The initial term of engagement will be for a period of one year on a case-to-case basis.

General Terms and Conditions

  • Nature of Engagement: Full-time; Young Professionals are not permitted to take up any other assignment during the contract period.
  • Contract: Appointed candidates shall enter into a Contract with SSC. Norms for secrecy and security of sensitive data must be adhered to.
  • Confidentiality: Strict adherence to the Indian Official Secrets Act, 1923. No disclosure of confidential office details, operational processes, or technical know-how.
  • Intellectual Property: All intellectual property and proprietary rights developed for SSC under the Contract will belong to the Staff Selection Commission.
  • Professional Conduct: No advertisement or public use of SSC's name, emblem, or seal for commercial advantage without written permission.
  • Compliance: Adherence to all rules and regulations of the Government of India. Display utmost honesty, secrecy, and sincerity.
  • Discontinuation of Service: Services may be discontinued without assigning any reason if found unsatisfactory or in conflict with SSC/Government of India interests.
  • Breach of Contract: Sufficient ground for termination of the contract.
  • Temporary Nature: Appointment is temporary and can be cancelled at any time without prior reason.
  • Performance Review: Annual Performance Report (APR) will be conducted.
  • Allowances: No allowances such as conveyance, dearness, residential, telephone, transport facility, CGHS, medical reimbursement, etc., except those specifically mentioned.
  • TA/DA: Domestic tours, if approved by competent authority, will be reimbursed. This includes:
    • Rail: AC Three Tier.
    • Hotel Accommodation: Up to Rs. 750/- per day.
    • City Taxi Charges: Up to Rs. 225/- per day.
    • Food Bills: Not exceeding Rs. 800/- per day.
  • Leave: 1.5 days per completed month (pro-rata), no accumulation beyond a calendar year. Absence up to one month without remuneration may be considered. Women consultants are eligible for maternity leave as per the Maternity Benefit (Amendment) Act, 2017.
  • Tax Deduction: Income Tax or any other applicable tax will be deducted at source (TDS Certificate(s) will be issued by SSC).
  • Police Verification: Police verification is mandatory. The contract remains provisional until positive verification is received; negative verification will lead to immediate termination.
