The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released a notice regarding the recruitment for twenty vacancies for the post of Drugs Inspector (Medical Devices) in the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation, Department of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Essential Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelors of Engineering/Technology in Bio-Medical, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Bio-Technology, Polymer, Computer Science, or Medical Electronics Engineering from a recognised University or Institute.
  • OR
  • Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Science, Microbiology, Bio-Chemistry, Chemistry, or Life Sciences from a recognised University or Institute.

  • Shortlisted for Interview: 61 candidates have been shortlisted for interviews.
  • Provisionally Shortlisted: A list of candidates has been provisionally shortlisted, subject to the furnishing of deficient documents.
  • Rejected for Interview: One candidate (Roll No. 1130197) has been rejected as their submitted degree in Bachelor of Science (General) was not relevant to the post as per the advertisement.

Deficient Documents Required (Condition Codes)

  • A: Matriculation/Higher Secondary Certificate/Mark sheet showing Date of Birth.
  • B: Community certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) in the proper format. EWS certificate must be valid for the year 2025-26.
  • C: Degree certificate for the required educational qualifications.
  • E: Affidavit for self-name discrepancy in ORA and other documents.
  • F: Affidavit for father's name discrepancy in ORA and other documents.

Important Notes

  • Failure to submit requisite Community Certificates for reservation claims will lead to consideration of candidature under the GENERAL Category.
  • Non-submission of deficient documents by Provisionally Shortlisted candidates may lead to the cancellation of their candidatures.
