Observation of Martyrs' Day on 30th January 2026

On the occasion of 'Martyrs Day', the following events will take place at the High Court Main Building on Friday, 30th January 2026.

Garlanding Ceremony

The portrait of Mahatma Gandhi will be garlanded at 10:30 a.m. in the Central Court Hall, Room No. 46, on the Second Floor.

Two Minutes Silence

A two-minute silence will be observed at 11:00 a.m. in memory of those who dedicated their lives in the struggle for India's freedom.

For the commencement and conclusion of the silence, an "All Clear" siren will be used as follows:

• First Siren: The siren will be sounded from 10:59 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
• Silence Period: The two-minute silence is to be observed from the end of the first siren until the commencement of the second siren.
• Second Siren: After the two minutes of silence, the "All Clear" siren will be sounded again at 11:02 a.m.
