Railway Recruitment Board (RRB), Ranchi has issued a notice for a candidate who was shortlisted for Document Verification for the post of Junior Engineer (CEN-03/2024) and was subsequently found medically unfit.
Following the Document Verification, a medical examination was conducted at the Railway Hospital. As per the report from the three-member medical committee, the candidate was not found fit in the prescribed medical category.
As per Railway Board's letter No.2014/H/5/8/(Policy), Dated: 07.07.2017, the candidate may submit an appeal. The procedure is as follows:
Submission of Appeal: The candidate must submit an appeal with due justification to the Principal Chief Medical Director, South Eastern Railway, Kolkata within one month from the date of this notice. The appeal must be sent by Speed Post or delivered by hand to the following address:

Medical Certificate Requirement: The appeal will only be considered if the candidate produces a medical certificate (as per Proforma-A) from a registered Government/Private specialist in the specialty where the candidate was found unfit. The certificate must explicitly state that the specialist is aware of the Railway's physical and visual standards for the specific medical category and that the candidate was previously declared unfit by a board of three Senior Railway Doctors.
Deadline for Appeal: The appeal, along with the required documents, must reach the Railway Recruitment Board, Ranchi by 23.03.2026.
