CEN No. 05/2024 (Non-Technical Popular Categories (Graduate)) - Result of 1st Stage CBT and Shortlisting for 2nd Stage CBT

This notice announces the result of the 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-I) and the shortlisting of candidates for the 2nd Stage CBT for Non-Technical Popular Categories (Graduate) posts against CEN No. 05/2024.

Key Information:

  • 1st Stage CBT Conduct: The 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-I) for NTPC posts against CEN 05/2024 was conducted by Railway Recruitment Boards from June 05, 2025, to June 24, 2025.
  • Shortlisting for 2nd Stage CBT: Candidates with the Roll Numbers listed in the original notice have been provisionally shortlisted to appear in the 2nd Stage CBT.
  • Merit-Based Shortlisting: Shortlisting was done based on the merit in the 1st Stage CBT, taking into account candidates' order of preference for various posts.
  • Reservation Benefits: Candidates shortlisted under reservation benefits (OBC(NCL)/SC/ST/EWS, PwBD, and ExSM) will continue to be considered under their respective categories in all subsequent stages of the recruitment process.
  • Subsequent Stages: The shortlisting for Document Verification will be based on candidates' performance in the 2nd Stage CBT, and, where applicable, in both 2nd Stage CBT and CBAT/TST.
  • 2nd Stage CBT Schedule: The 2nd Stage CBT for provisionally qualified candidates for CEN 05/2024 posts is tentatively scheduled for the 3rd week of October 2025.
  • e-Call Letter Download: Candidates will be advised through the official website of RRBs, SMS, and Email to download their Exam City Intimation about 10 days prior to the 2nd Stage CBT. The e-call letter will be available for download 4 days prior to the CBT date.
  • Viewing Individual Scores and Qualifying Status: Candidates can view their individual scores and qualifying status for the 2nd Stage CBT by logging in through the link provided on the official website of RRBs, using their Registration Number and Date of Birth. Upon logging in, candidates can also view their question paper along with the correct answers.
  • Provisional Candidature: The candidature of all qualified candidates for the 2nd Stage CBT is purely provisional and subject to cancellation at any stage if inconsistencies/deficiencies in furnished data or malpractice are detected. Mere shortlisting for 2nd Stage CBT does not guarantee appointment in the Railways.
  • Error Rectification: While every care has been taken in preparing the list, RRB reserves the right to rectify any inadvertent errors or typographical/printing mistakes. RRB will not entertain any correspondence from unsuccessful candidates.
  • Website Updates: Candidates are advised to regularly visit RRB's official website for updates.
  • Roll Number Arrangement: The Roll Numbers of the provisionally qualified candidates for the 2nd stage CBT are arranged horizontally in ascending order, not in order of merit.
