The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC), Lucknow has released the notification for the Lekhpal Main Examination 2025 for recruitment to 7994 posts under the Revenue Council, Uttar Pradesh.

Eligibility Criteria

Only those candidates are eligible to apply for the Lekhpal Main Examination who have appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025 and have been issued a score card by the commission. Shortlisting of candidates for the main examination will be done on the basis of their normalized score in PET-2025. Candidates with a zero or negative score in PET-2025 will not be shortlisted.

Application Fee

All candidates are required to pay an online processing fee of ₹25 at the time of application submission. The main examination fee will be payable separately only by the candidates shortlisted for the main exam, before downloading the admit card.

Educational Qualification

Essential Qualification

Candidates must have passed the Intermediate Examination from the Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Uttar Pradesh, or any examination recognized by the Government as its equivalent.

Preferential Qualification

Preference will be given to candidates who have:

  1. Served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years, OR
  2. Obtained a 'B' certificate of the National Cadet Corps (NCC).

Age Limit (as on July 1 of the recruitment year)

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 40 years
  • Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per Uttar Pradesh government norms.

Selection Process

The selection will be based on a written main examination. The shortlisting for the main exam will be based on PET-2025 scores, with approximately 15 times the number of advertised posts being called, including all candidates who score at the final cutoff mark.

Examination Scheme

  • The written exam will consist of one paper with 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions.
  • The total duration of the exam will be 2 hours (120 minutes).
  • There is a provision for negative marking, where 1/4th (25%) of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for each wrong answer.

  1. Candidates must apply online through the official UPSSSC website: upsssc.gov.in.
  2. Login will be authenticated using the PET-2025 registration number and OTP.
  3. Personal details will be auto-populated from the PET-2025 application. Candidates need to fill in their educational qualifications.
  4. Pay the online processing fee to complete the application process.
  5. It is mandatory to print the application form after successful fee payment and submission.
