Important Information
Bank of Baroda invites online applications from Indian citizens for engagement as apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961 (as amended from time to time).

Eligibility Criteria (as on 2025-11-01)
- Registration: Candidates must be registered on the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) portal (https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) and/or the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal (https://nats.education.gov.in).
- Age: Minimum 20 years, Maximum 28 years.
- Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable as per Government of India guidelines for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates, provided they are less than 34 years as on the cut-off date (2025-11-01) if registered under NAPS.
- Educational Qualification: Graduation Degree in any Discipline from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
- For candidates registered under NATS, the date of passing their Graduation should not be more than 4 years preceding the cut-off date (2025-11-01).
- Duration of Training: 12 months of On-the Job Training.
General Conditions for Apprenticeship
- Candidates can apply for engagement as an apprentice in only one State/Union Territory.
- Candidates must select up to three preferred training locations or centers.
- Allotment is strictly based on merit, applicant's location preferences, and availability of training seats.
- Selected candidates will be allotted to the State/UT for which they applied. Requests for different State/UTs will not be considered.
- Candidates should not have undergone apprenticeship with Bank of Baroda or any other Establishment previously, nor have been terminated from a previous apprenticeship due to their own fault.
- Candidates should not be currently pursuing apprenticeship training.
- Candidates with training or job experience of one year or more after completing their educational qualification are not eligible.
- Selected candidates must submit a declaration/undertaking regarding the above conditions.
Training Seats
A total of 2700 training seats are available. The number of seats is provisional and may vary based on the Bank's requirements. Detailed State/UT wise break-up of seats is provided in the original notification. Abbreviations for categories are: SC - Scheduled Caste, ST - Scheduled Tribe, OBC - Other Backward Classes, EWS - Economically Weaker Sections, UR - Unreserved, PWBD - Persons with Benchmark Disability, OC - Orthopedically Challenged, HI - Hearing Impaired, VI - Visually Impaired, ID - Intellectually Disabled.
Age Relaxation
- Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST): 5 years
- Other Backward Classes (OBC - Non Creamy Layer): 3 years
- Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD):
- PwBD (UR/EWS): 10 Years
- PwBD (OBC): 13 Years
- PwBD (SC/ST): 15 Years
How to Apply
- Mandatory Registration: Candidates must first register on either the NATS portal (https://nats.education.gov.in) or the NAPS portal (https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in).
- Application Submission: After registration on the respective portal, candidates should apply for the apprenticeship advertised by Bank of Baroda.
- For NATS portal, login and apply via "Apply against advertised vacancies".
- For NAPS portal, search "Bank of Baroda" under "Search By Establishment Name", click "View" and then "Apply for this Opportunity".
- Application cum Examination Form: Eligible candidates will receive an email from info@bfsissc.com to fill out the final "Application cum Examination Form" to provide personal data, choice of location/centre, category, PWBD status, and make online payment of the examination fee.
- Important IDs: Candidates must note their Enrolment Id (issued by NATS portal) and Apprentice Registration Code (issued by NAPS portal) for future correspondence.
- Completion: The registration process is considered complete only after the application fee is deposited with BFSI SSC. Candidates should retain the acknowledgement number and application form copy.
Selection Process
Selection for engagement of apprentices will be based on:
- Online Examination
- Document Verification
- Test of Local Language of the State
Online Examination Structure
The tentative structure of the online objective type examination is as follows:
- General/Financial Awareness: 25 Questions, 25 Marks
- Quantitative & Reasoning Aptitude: 25 Questions, 25 Marks
- Computer Knowledge: 25 Questions, 25 Marks
- General English: 25 Questions, 25 Marks
- Total: 100 Questions, 100 Marks
- Duration: 60 minutes
- Medium of Test: Hindi / English for General/Financial Awareness, Quantitative & Reasoning Aptitude, Computer Knowledge; English for General English.
There will be no negative marks for wrong answers. Candidates must score a minimum percentage mark on aggregate (5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD). Merit list will be drawn State-wise and Category-wise.
Document Verification
Candidates will appear for Document Verification at a centre decided by the Bank, at their own expense. Eligibility will be determined at this stage.
Test of Local Language
Candidates must be proficient (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding) in any one of the specified local languages of the State/UT they applied for. This test will be conducted after the online examination. Failure to qualify will result in non-engagement. Candidates who have studied the specified local language in 10th or 12th standard are exempted from the language test.
Medical Fitness
Engagement is subject to the candidate being declared medically fit as per Bank requirements.
Final Selection
Final selection is contingent upon meeting eligibility criteria, securing minimum cut-off marks, successful document verification, qualifying the local language test, and being declared medically fit.
Job Profile & Stipend
- This engagement is as a "Trainee" and is not a regular or contract employment. Apprentices will not be considered employees of Bank of Baroda and are not entitled to benefits available to regular or contractual employees.
- Stipend: ₹15,000/- per month for the 12-month engagement period. No other allowances or benefits are provided.
Application Fees
- Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates: NIL
- Person with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) candidates: Rs.400/- plus GST
- General, EWS and Other Backward Class (OBC) candidates: Rs.800/- plus GST
The fee is non-refundable and must be paid online.
Documents Required at Document Verification / Language Proficiency Test
Candidates must produce the following documents in original along with a self-attested photocopy:
- Valid Language Proficiency Test Intimation Letter/mail.
- Online application/Registration/Enrollment form printout.
- Proof of Date of Birth (Birth Certificate or SSLC/Std. X Certificate).
- Photo Identify Proof.
- Individual Semester/Year wise Marksheets & certificates for educational qualifications, including the final degree/diploma certificate.
- Certificate stating percentage conversion norms for CGPA/OGPA.
- Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) in the prescribed Government of India format, to be submitted at the time of document verification or when called by the Bank.
- OBC certificates must include the 'non-creamy layer' clause and be valid as on the date of the Language Test (issued within one year of advertisement).
- Disability certificate in prescribed format issued by the District Medical Board (for PwBD candidates).
- Any other relevant documents in support of eligibility.

- Candidates are advised to fill the online application carefully, as no changes will be permitted after submission.
- Bank's decisions regarding eligibility, selection process, and cancellation are final. No representation or correspondence will be entertained.
- The Bank reserves the right to cancel the engagement of apprenticeship at any point in time without prior notice in case of misconduct by the apprentice.
