The Health Department, Government of Bihar, has invited online applications for the creation of a panel for appointment to the vacant posts of Junior Resident (one-year tenure) in the medical colleges and hospitals of the state for the year 2025.

Stipend
Selected Junior Residents will receive a monthly honorarium of ₹65,000. No other allowances, provident fund, or pension benefits will be applicable.

Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess an MBBS degree recognized/permitted by the Medical Council of India (MCI) / National Medical Commission (NMC).
Nationality
Applicants must be citizens of India.

- Unreserved (Male): 37 years
- Unreserved (Female): 40 years
- BC/EBC (Male & Female): 40 years
- SC/ST (Male & Female): 42 years
- Persons with Disabilities: A relaxation of 10 years in the upper age limit is applicable.
Application Fee
- For all categories (UR/EWS/EBC/BC/SC/ST/DQ): ₹2250/-
- The fee must be paid online via Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.

Selection Process
The merit list will be prepared based on a total of 100 marks, calculated as follows:
- Based on MBBS Examination Marks: 0.8 marks will be awarded for every full percentage point of the total marks obtained in all MBBS examinations. (Maximum 80 marks).
- For Foreign Medical Graduates: The percentage of marks obtained in the FMGE screening test will be multiplied by a factor of 0.6.
- Postgraduate Degree/Diploma: Maximum 20/10 marks.
In case of a tie, the candidate with higher marks in the PG component, followed by higher marks in the MBBS Part-III exam, will be ranked higher. If the tie persists, the older candidate will be given preference.
How to Apply
- Candidates must apply online through the official website: bceceboard.bihar.gov.in.
- Click on the "Online Portal of Junior Resident under Health Dept." link and then on "Apply for Junior Resident".
- The application process involves multiple steps: Registration, filling the application form (Personal, Contact, Educational details), uploading a photo and signature, previewing the application, and finally, paying the fee.
- After successful payment, download and print the Confirmation Page for future reference.
Document Verification
Candidates must bring one set of photocopies along with the original documents for verification:
- Admit Card/Marksheet/Certificate of Matriculation or equivalent.
- Marksheets of MBBS (All Parts), including failure marksheets.
- Passing Certificate of MBBS.
- Attempt Certificate of MBBS.
- Medical Registration Certificate.
- Marksheet/Passing Certificate of PG Degree/Diploma (if any).
- Residential Certificate issued by a competent authority.
- Current Caste Certificate with Non-Creamy Layer (if applicable).
- EWS Certificate (if applicable).
- Disability Certificate (if applicable).
- Certificate for Grandson/Granddaughter of a freedom fighter (if applicable).
- No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the current employer, if in service.
- Four identical photographs as used in the online application.
- Downloaded print of the Online Application Form (Confirmation Page).
- Verification Slip (2 copies) downloaded from the Board's website.
