CEN 05/2024: Proforma For Exemption Certificate For PwBD Candidates In NTPC Graduate Posts Typing Skill Test

This notice pertains to the exemption certificate for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates for the Computer Based Typing Skill Test (CBTST) for various NTPC Graduate Posts under CEN – 05/2024.

Important Dates

  • CBT-2 Conducted On: October 13, 2025
  • CBT-2 Result Publication: December 15, 2025
  • CBTST Tentatively Scheduled For: December 28, 2025
  • Certificate Upload Start Date: December 19, 2025
  • Certificate Upload Last Date: December 26, 2025 (till 18:00 hrs)

Exemption Criteria for PwBD Candidates

As per CEN 05/2024, paragraph 13.4, PwBD candidates with a permanent disability of less than 40%, and those with blindness/low vision, cerebral palsy, or locomotor disability are exempted from the CBTST. This exemption is subject to the candidate uploading a scanned copy of the skill test exemption certificate issued by a competent Medical Board (constituted by Central or State Government) in the format prescribed in Annexure V(E) of CEN 05/2024.

Certificate Upload Process

Shortlisted PwBD candidates who seek exemption from CBTST must upload a scanned copy of their Typing Skill Test exemption certificate issued by a competent Medical Board.

A helpdesk link for uploading the scanned copy will be made available on the respective RRB websites. Candidates are advised to use the candidate login to upload the valid medical certificate via the complaint/helpdesk portal between December 19, 2025, and December 26, 2025, until 18:00 hrs. The proforma for the typing skill test exemption certificate is attached with this notice and is also available in Annexure V(E) of CEN 05/2024.

In Case of Upload Failure

Candidates who are unable to upload the certificate can appear at the allotted CBTST examination center with the original Typing Skill Test exemption certificate.

Document Verification

Candidates must present the original Typing Skill Test exemption certificate during document verification. Failure to do so will lead to immediate cancellation of their candidature.
