Final Result for Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2025

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the final results for the Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2025. A total of 535 candidates (473 men and 62 women) have qualified based on the written examination and subsequent interviews conducted by the Services Selection Board of the Ministry of Defence.

Course Admissions

The qualified candidates are recommended for admission to the following courses commencing in April, 2026:

  • Officers Training Academy, Chennai: 123rd Short Service Commission Course (Men) (Non-Technical) (UPSC)
  • Officers Training Academy, Chennai: 37th Short Service Commission Women (Non-Technical) (UPSC) Course

The list for the 123rd Short Service Commission (Men) course also includes candidates who were previously recommended for admission to the Indian Military Academy (Dehradun), Indian Naval Academy (Ezhimala), and Air Force Academy (Hyderabad).

Vacancy Details

The number of vacancies as intimated by the Government are as follows:

  • 123rd Short Service Commission Course (Men): 275
  • 37th Short Service Commission Women (Non-Technical) Course: 18

Important Information

  • The results of the Medical Examination were not considered in the preparation of this merit list.
  • The candidature of all candidates is provisional. The Army Head Quarter will conduct the verification of Date of Birth and Educational Qualifications.
  • Results are available on the UPSC website: http://www.upsc.gov.in.
  • Candidates' marks will be available on the Commission's website within 15 days from the date of declaration of the final result and will remain accessible for 30 days.
  • A scheme for the disclosure of scores and other details for non-recommended candidates is also available on the Commission's website.
