Proforma For Exemption Certificate For PwBD Candidates Shortlisted For Computer Based Typing Skill Test (CBTST)

This notice from the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) pertains to the exemption certificate for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates who have been shortlisted for the Computer Based Typing Skill Test (CBTST) under Centralized Employment Notice (CEN) 05/2024 for various NTPC Graduate Posts.

Important Dates and Information:

  • The 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT-2) was conducted on October 13, 2025. Results were published on December 15, 2025.
  • The CBTST for shortlisted candidates is provisionally scheduled for December 28, 2025.
  • As per para 13.4 of CEN 05/2024, PwBD candidates with a permanent disability of not less than 40% due to Blindness/Low vision, Cerebral Palsy, and Locomotor Disability may be exempted from the CBTST.
  • To avail this exemption, candidates must upload a scanned copy of a Typing Skill Test exemption certificate. This certificate must be issued by a Competent Medical Board (constituted by Central or State Government) in the format prescribed in Annexure V(E) of CEN 05/2024.
  • Shortlisted PwBD candidates seeking CBTST exemption are required to upload the scanned certificate issued by the Competent Medical Board.
  • A help desk link for uploading the scanned Typing Skill Test exemption certificate will be made available on the websites of the respective RRBs.
  • PwBD candidates are advised to upload a valid Medical certificate through the grievance/helpdesk portal using their candidate login from December 19, 2025, to December 26, 2025 (up to 18:00 hrs.).
  • The proforma for the Typing Skill Test exemption certificate is enclosed with this notice and is also available as Annexure V(E) of CEN 05/2024.

Guidelines for Uploading Exemption Certificate:

  • Select Problem category: Typing Skill test
  • Sub-category: exemption Certificate
  • The document format should be JPG or PDF.
  • The maximum file size must be within 5MB.

Further Instructions:

  • Candidates who are unable to upload their certificates should report at the assigned CBTST venue with the Original Typing Skill Test exemption certificate to seek exemption.
  • Candidates must present the original Typing Skill Test exemption certificate during Document Verification. Failure to do so will lead to the summary rejection of their candidature.
  • Candidates are strongly advised to refer exclusively to the official websites of RRBs for the latest updates regarding the recruitment process. They should not be misled by unauthenticated sources.
  • Candidates are warned against individuals who may attempt to misguide them with false promises of appointment for illegal consideration. RRB selections are based solely on Computer Based Test (CBT) and merit.
