Introduction

Railway Recruitment Board Chandigarh published a list of shortlisted candidates' roll numbers for Document Verification (DV) based on the results of Computer-Based Tests (CBT-I & II) for the posts of Junior Engineer and Depot Material Superintendent (JES & DMS) against CEN 03/2024 on 21-07-2025. The Main Panel for DV/ME Round-1 was published on 14-10-2025. Continuing this process, candidates with the roll numbers listed below have been provisionally shortlisted for verification of documents/certificates, confirmation of candidature genuineness, and Medical Examination, as per the schedule provided. The roll numbers in this list are arranged horizontally in ascending order, not by merit.

Important Note on Candidature

The candidature of all shortlisted candidates is purely provisional and is subject to cancellation at any stage of the recruitment process, or thereafter, if any inconsistency, deficiency, or discrepancy is found in the information provided by the candidates in their online application, or if any malpractice is discovered. Merely being shortlisted or called for DV/Medical Examination does not entitle a candidate to an appointment in the Railways. While every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the result, RRB reserves the right to rectify any inadvertent errors, typographical mistakes, or printing issues. RRB regrets its inability to entertain any correspondence from candidates on this matter.

Block Date on 01-12-2025 for Absentee Candidates

Candidates who fail to report for Document Verification on the regular date assigned to them in their call letter with valid reasons (supported by documentary evidence of appearing in a University/Government examination or due to sickness) will be given a second and final chance to attend DV on the block date. No other reason for absence will be considered. In such cases, candidates will be provided the last and final opportunity to appear in the Document Verification on 01.12.2025 at 09:30 HRS at the RRB, Chandigarh office. No fresh e-call letter will be sent for this purpose, and candidates can attend DV with the same e-call letter downloaded for the regular Document Verification.

Important Instructions

  • Important: Shortlisted candidates are advised to thoroughly read and understand all instructions and information provided in the Detailed Centralized Employment Notification No. 03/2024 and its corrigendum. Also, keep a record of all information filled by them in their application form.
  • NOC from Employer of serving employees: Candidates serving (including those undergoing induction training/probation) in any Central/State Government Department including Railways or Public Sector Undertakings should produce an NOC from the employer on the date of document verification (DV), failing which their candidature will be cancelled.
  • Downloading of E-Call Letter: The link to download the E-Call letter for DV will be made live on the official website of RRB Chandigarh (www.rrbcdg.gov.in) 4 days prior to the scheduled DV date for each shortlisted candidate. Candidates are advised to download, print, and carefully read all instructions. As per extant rules, free travel authority will be provided to eligible SC/ST candidates.
  • Uploading of Softcopies & personal data: The link for the portal to upload the latest photo, signature, identification marks, Aadhaar number, and nicely scanned all relevant original documents (education, caste, NOC, experience, etc.) will be provided on the official website of RRB 15 days prior to the scheduled DV date. Candidates shall first upload their Aadhaar Card, passport-size photograph, signature, and two identification marks (excluding mole). Thereafter, candidates shall upload the following required documents:
    • e-Call Letter issued during CBT.
    • Certificate and Marksheet of Matriculation (10th Class) in a single PDF file.
    • Community Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS). Candidates belonging to OBC and EWS categories shall upload their Community Certificate valid as on the date of online application submission as well as the current valid certificate, combined in a single PDF file.
    • An Affidavit in case of any spelling discrepancy in the name of the candidate, father's name, mother's name, or in any other document.
    • Divyang (PwBD) candidates shall upload their Disability Certificate along with Unique Disability Identity Card (UDID) in a single PDF file.
    • Diploma/Degree and all related Mark Sheets (Semester wise) shall be uploaded in a single PDF file.
    • If any other certificates/documents are to be submitted, they may be uploaded under the Additional Documents category.
    • Candidates are advised to keep all scanned copies in their Google Drive or pen drive also (most important).
  • Hardcopies for DV: Candidates should bring the following at the time of their Document Verification:
    • Printout of E-Call letter along with 2 original valid identity proofs (preferably) like Aadhaar, PAN, EPIC, Passport, DL, or any Govt. I-Card for smooth entry to the DV hall.
    • All relevant documents in original and 2 sets of photocopies duly self-attested.
    • At least 6 passport-size photographs with white background (not more than one month old).
    • Candidate's foil of e-call letter for CBT-I & copy of application form.
    • Rs. 24/- in cash for Medical Examination Fee.
    • If certificates are not in English/Hindi, a self-attested translated version (in Hindi/English) should be produced wherever/whenever required. Certificates produced during the DV should be strictly in the prescribed formats. No additional time will be given to candidates not producing their original certificates on their date of DV, and the candidature of such candidates is liable to be forfeited/cancelled.
  • Place of DV: DV will be conducted at the office of Railway Recruitment Board, Railway Colony, Near Railway Station, Chandigarh (Google Location: Near Prachin Shiv Mandir on Panchkula Side Station Road).
  • Date of DV: Candidates can find their Roll Nos. tabulated under specific DV dates heading in the DV schedule.
  • Time of DV: The reporting time will be 09:30 AM.
  • Entry: Candidates are advised to reach well in time on their scheduled DV date and check their roll no. in the seating plan which will be displayed on the main entrance of DV Hall. Entry will be allowed after verifying E-Call letter with ID proofs.
  • Inside DV Hall: Candidates are advised to appear in a presentable outfit (preferable formals) and must carry only necessary & required belongings with them. Mobile phones are strictly prohibited. Candidates must sit on their seats according to the seating plan and are strictly directed to maintain discipline, listen to & follow the verbal instructions given by DV officials. Any type of unfair or disobedient activity will lead to disqualification.
  • After DV: DV officials will generate a Medical Memo in two foils. A Medical Examination Fee of Rs. 24/- will be collected from each verified candidate, and its receipt and two passport-size photographs of the candidate will be stapled on it. Candidates will be required to ink their thumb impressions, sign, and write their working mobile no. on both foils neatly. DV officials will collect the duly completed memos & brief the candidates about the venue, date, time, and instructions for the Medical Examination.
  • Medical Examination: After being successful in DV process, candidates will be sent for a medical examination at the nominated Railway Hospital located within the jurisdiction of the concerned RRB on the next working days of the DV. Candidates are required to be prepared to stay for more than four days for the DV/Medical examination at their own cost. Candidates are advised that they should not bring their belongings to the Railway Hospitals as there is no facility available to keep their belongings. They will carry only original valid & current Photo ID proof. For medical examination, no fees or charges are to be paid to the hospitals/health unit. In rare cases, where investigations such as CT scans, ultrasound, or tests to rule out refractive eye surgery are required (and such facilities are unavailable at the Railway Hospital/Health Unit), candidates may need to make the necessary payment to the concerned laboratory/hospital.
