Self-Slot Selection for examinations by the candidates - CHSLE - 2025

NOTIFICATIONAdded: 18 Oct 2025SSC

Introduction

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced a self-slot selection facility for candidates appearing in the Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam (CHSLE) - 2025. The Tier 1 examination is scheduled to commence on 12th November 2025. This initiative aims to facilitate candidates by allowing them to choose their examination city, date, and shift.

Slot Selection Process

Candidates wishing to avail this facility must log in to the candidate portal to exercise their choice. The portal will be active from 22nd October 2025 to 28th October 2025.

Upon logging in, candidates can select their preferred city (from the 3 choices submitted during application), date, and shift. The portal will display available slots based on these choices. It is important to note that for candidates who opted to take the examination in regional languages, the choices of dates and shifts might be limited.

Contingency Plan for Full Slots

In cases where all slots in the initially opted three cities are already filled, candidates will be provided with a list of alternative cities to choose from. The commission will then allot a slot in one of these optional cities on a best-effort basis, without specific choices for date and shift.

Important Instructions and Warnings

  • Candidates are advised to exercise their options for examination date, city, and shift with utmost care, as no requests for changes will be entertained once the selection is made.
  • Candidates who fail to exercise their option for date, city, and shift within the prescribed window (22nd October to 28th October 2025) will be inferred by the Commission as not intending to appear for the examination.

Guidance for Candidates

To assist candidates with the detailed option exercise process, a self-explanatory document accompanied by necessary screenshots will be made available on the portal.
